Lloris (hard decision to pick him or Patricio actually)
Boateng - Bonucci - Ben Davies - William Carvalho
Sissoko - Joe Allen - Draxler - Renato Sanches
Griezmann - Milik

Idk, I appreciated Boateng's performances. Germany team structure helps him but generally I liked him.

In the matches of Poland I saw Milik pleased me very much. I can't remember an attack man that impressed me on this Euro other than Griezmann but I honestly enjoyed Milik's potential. The boy runs too much and for many times he was the most offensive of team. In some games I even preferred his performance than Lewandowski's.

Renato Sanches and Nani should have been included, both outplayed their captain. Nani was fantastic in this tournament.

-------------------- Lloris
Kimmich - Bonucci - Pepe - Guerreiro
-------------------- Kroos
---------- Sanches --- Ramsey
Nani ------- Griezmann ------ Payet

Pepe, Kroos, Griezmann, Payet and Nani have to be in for me. Probably have a couple of Welsh in there - Williams, Bale and Ramsey most likely.

Keeper is tricky for me. Lloris is a shout but did let in 2 soft goals against Iceland. I don't recall Patricio doing anything out of the ordinary, but then again I don't remember any major fuck ups by him either. The one I enjoyed watching more than any other was Buffon probably.

I'll fill the other couple of spots with players I personally enjoyed watching even if their teams didn't excel, so I'm going for Kyle Walker and Andres Iniesta

Buffon
Walker - Pepe - Williams
Nani - Kroos - Iniesta - Ramsey - Payet
Griezmann - Bale

Yes I'm aware the team isn't that balanced.

Honorary mentions for Gunnarsson, Kimmich and Modric.

Patricio
Cedric - Bonucci - Pepe - Guerreiro
Ramsey - Carvahlo
Griezmann - Bale - Payet
Giroud

Players like Modric, Iniesta, and Gilik all impressed me, but didn't play deep into the tournament. I understand those that disagree with Giroud, but he scored and assisted big goals, and his aerial ability created lots of chances and space for the French attack. I can't think of a proper striker who played a better tournament.

Kroos, Özil, Williams & Chester, De Bruyne, Hazard, Perisic, Krychowiak, and Sissoko all impressed me.

One of the oddest things about the team of the tournament from UEFA is that Ronaldo was the only player anyone would even slightly class as a "striker", and even he transcends that role. Not sure there will be many centre forwards around by the time Euro 2020 comes.

Giroud?

Why not go the whole hog and put Wilshere in!

I can't pick a striker that contributed more. I would not dissent the inclusion of Ronaldo, or moving Griezmann up to accommodate another midfielder.

Giroud and Wilshere had vastly different contributions to the tournament.
