John Egan by bloody miles, everything a centre back should be, with the ability to come forward with the ball too.

Ian Henderson.

Class act anywhere across the front line, but can also play deeper.

And potentially this year's top League Goalscorer in L1 - two behind Garner and Williams, but with a game/games in hand.

What went wrong for him at Col Ewe? (And Michael Rose as well, for that matter...)

Henderson was excellent, but off the pitch him and Wordsworth were a pain in the arse double act. Dunne had enough of Henderson's attitude at some point I think.

As for Rose, he was absolutely shit.

When we were in League 1 Kevin McDonald was a great signing for us. No wonder Sheff Utd fans were pissed to see us get him so cheap due to some release clause in his contract.

Jimmy Spencer last season without a doubt. Released by Huddersfield at 22 after a bad loan spell at Scunthorpe in League 2 and he pretty much kept us up - Grealish and JCR provided the razzle dazzle but we simply wouldn't have functioned without Spencer. 100% certain that if he'd been fit this season we'd have been challenging for the top 6. As a fairly direct team without much quality in midfield - a player like him who wins free-kicks, winds up centre-backs, gets on the end of crosses and is able to hold the ball up like just about no other striker at this level because he's got the best first touch I've ever seen in this division is huge.

Fuck me, I hope when he returns in a couple of weeks he's back to his best - otherwise we're doomed.
are you talking about a league one player or a champions league player here?

This season? or any season?

Graham Alexander for £50k and David Nugent for £100k weren't bad pieces of business.

David McGoldrick the second greatest striker to play in this league (behind Callum Wilson).

The rest of our signings since being in league one have been pretty garbage.

I'll always remember Jimmy Spencer for the quote: "Wolves aren't exactly Real Madrid, I see no reason why we can't beat them".

Yeah and Wolves fans made a big deal about it for some bizarre reason. So much so that I started to question if in fact you did believe you were Real Madrid. The point he made was perfectly valid.

It was more about the sheer arrogance of some nobody footballer talking about a team that won the league. It could have come from some random Sunday League player and it would have come across the same.

But obviously were better than Madrid...

This season, Korey Smith. A Makelele and has tidied our team up front and back.

Otherwise, Adriano Basso is a good shout. Got him on the cheap from Woking and is a real fan favourite. Shame his religion create delusion. God would help him save penalties and he thought he had a chance of making the World Cup when playing for us. Also thought God would get him into the Premiership. Although he did with Hull, don't think he ever played a match.

Obviously Jamie Vardy. Scored 34 goals in 40 matches. Helped get us promoted to the football league. Sold for £1m potentially rising to £1.7m with clauses
