I'd expect Everton to throw their game against Arsenal and for Arsenal to grab an early lead, and the longer our game stays 0-0 the more anxious and desperate things will get.
Surely there's no way even we can bottle this? I think we'll win, but with Liverpool it's generally more hope than...
What's up with the attendance at this game? Seems fairly empty. Protests? Traffic? I would say there must be some kind of issue as Sunderland's allocation looks half empty too but that's probably because their fans don't give a fuck.
Are there any Burnley fans on here? If so, can you tell me why Flanagan hardly gets a look in? Bit of a pointless loan if you ask me. Especially considering Lowton gets in ahead of him and he was awful for Villa last season.
We have zero ideas against teams who set out to play defensive against us. It's easily out weak point when teams play for a draw. I'm sure Southampton would've been happy with four 0-0's against us this season but for two breaks on the counter attack.
The game plan worked so it's job done but...
So frustrating. Southampton have been such a negative team to play against in all 4 games this season, fair enough it worked and good for them but I'd be happy to see them get relegated next season. Come on Arsenal!
Really good performance but it's expected against teams who try and come out and play against us as it suits us so much.
Cue a draw/loss to Burnley next week!
Lallana was fantastic. Coutinho is starting to hit a little bit of form again now as he's been anonymous since coming back from injury...
I personally thought the game changed when King went off for Surman. King was providing a great outlet and pressing the Arsenal defence who couldn't play out.
Very entertaining evening of football.
Don't think I've seen so many shots struck at the keeper. So much possession but little offered with it. I personally thought the first pen was 50/50 but it makes up for the Can hand ball I suppose.
It's typical of us to drop points to somebody like Sunderland after beating Man City.
Fingers...
There's no better feeling than a last minute winner in the derby!!!
I think that was deserved in the end. First half an hour Everton were the better team but we grew stronger and are clearly a fitter side. They were lucky to still have 11 on the pitch and I agree with all what Carragher and...
I'm going for a 3-1. It'll be closer than the scoreline suggests though and I think this is a potential banana skin for us. Firmino has gone off the boil a bit and I hope Matip starts. I assume Sturridge is still injured as he was at the boxing until the early hours in Manchester last night...
