I think traditionally the northern counties began at Lancashire and Yorkshire and the South started at Cambridge and Oxford but its so daft now that Gloucester can be in the north to keep Leagues at the right numbers and as hard as I try, I just can't believe that ....I know it's all about doing...
perhaps north midlands but not really northern....if you did decide to divide country into equal thirds of south, midlands and north, using east coast distances, Grimsby would probably be a Midlands club as well :)
Labelling Iceland Clap tinpot as there is video evidence of Middlesbrough doing it in 2013....not that we had a lot to clap about then....however thinking about it the Boro Clap sounds like an STD...maybe should just let it lie :)
Ever since we nearly folded in 1986, I've regarded the "smaller" clubs as the heart that keeps the game alive ...people like Hartlepool and Billingham Synthonia rallied round and allowed us to use their ground for training and even fixtures and the so-called big boys just tried to poach players...
