Would you mind posting how this away ticket scheme works at Vale?
I understand we are about to launch some sort of membership scheme and it would be useful to have some info on how other clubs work
As a neutral and having viewed the penalty I can see why the ref gave it. Soft perhaps, but it looked like the Tranmere player nicked the ball and then went over the defenders foot.
Seen far far more dubious decisions than that one tbh
Paul Hurst is your man. Two promotions from NL. He knows how it works. For me Hughes will struggle in the NL, as would most who haven’t experienced it. It is a whole new ball game
Grimsby v Salford was probably the worst game I have seen in League 2 this season. It was a 0-0 but we managed to lose!
No excuses re referee, pitch etc. We proved what I have said for months, GTFC are not a play off team imo ( despite looking very good at Walsall last weekend)
Not specific to Walsall, but I feel when a manager gets the flack for being over cautious, it is often the players who should carry the can,or at least a fair part of it.
Caution sets in when things aren’t going too well, players lack confidence and therefore safe passes become tge fall back...
This seems to becoming the norm. There have still been a few clubs where the concession prices for visiting fans have started at age 60 but these are few and far between. Our visit to Colchester a week on Friday cost me £14 as an OAP, although it is an awful ground, in the middle of nowhere, I...
Have any clubs announced their prices for next season?
Looking like a significant increase is on the cards for us, slashing discounts, increasing concession age etc.
Expensive business running a football club but the balance between being competitive and shafting fans is a fine line
Agree. Thought Notts looked a team lacking in confidence and belief in the 1st half. That, was probably to be expected given their recent form?
However they hung in during the first half, Grimsby were the better team but created few clear opportunities, after half time Notts grew into the game...
My first game was Oct 1965 v Bournemouth & Boscombe United!
I’ve never had another team although went to QPR a few times around 1976/7 as I was living in the area. They were good to watch in that period but never came close to the passion you feel for your true club. I then played semi pro and...
Just back home from Walsall. The ‘Locker’ is a useful addition to the pre match plans.
After giving away an early goal, Grimsby didn’t look back, looked far the more impressive side. On another day would have won by a larger margin. Walsall resorted to just lumping the ball forward together with...
