This really does look like one of the weakest leagues for a while and I feel that Grimsby can take advantage of that. This seaason all of the so called 'big clubs' ended up midtable, Wrexham 11th, Lincoln 15th, Kidderminster 16th etc
Meanwhile the highest finishing clubs look pretty weak and...
It's just lucky Truro managed to escape last season. Truro to King's Lynn is a 12-13 hour round trip which is pretty ridiculous. Bideford is still a long trek from Norfolk though.
They seem to have reprieved too, but they aren't shaded in purple. Maybe someone else quit or got demoted?
EDIT: Looks like the missing club is Sholing. Ground grading issues or something. They claim that they haven't been notified by the FA which is odd...
Happy for Oxford ;)
Just a few observations though.
Firstly, why have King's Lynn been moved to the Southern League? Surely you don't get much more eastern than King's Lynn. Why them and not Halesowen or Stourbridge? Also, Bashley seem to have been reprieved in the Southern Div 1 South and...
Mark Gower :o Such a shame, he was playing first team for Swansea in the championship a few years back. He wasn't great but didn't expect him to drop all the don to non-league in the space of a few years.
So, where are you expecting Darlo to finish? I can see you and Salford both pushing for a second successive promotion, . And there's still the likes of Workington, Ashton and Blyth. The Evo Stik Prem 2015-16 looks very tough.
I completely agree. I'd like to see FGR go up as their (few) fans have been throgh a lot over the years, watching them struggling down the wrong end of the table for almost a decade. Rich owners or not, I'd like to see a team like that pushing for the football league, even if the bitter Grimsby...
I'm just not sure why it took them so long to realise that a team from a village with a population of 3,700 was never going to attract thousands of fans and 'match the mentioned funding' . Surely they had some idea before they invested a quarter of a million into the club.
Absolutely disgusting. Really feel for the Ferriby fans. Looks like the greedy Allams are running off with all the money from the Trophy win too. The club has come such a long way in the last few seasons too.
