Yeah, reading about your problems this morning... I never knew tbh, and with the wages involved at this level, it's not as if the fans could have a whip-round' to pay the the players/staffs wages (like we had to do sometimes in our darkest days when Hamilton was trying to bust the club)
He...
Looking forward to going back to Deepdale. Last time I was there was back in the day when Alex Bruce was your main man (...I know - old codger alert :bye: )
It's changed massively in the years since...whereas The Racecourse hasn't that much really. Just shows how our paths (& fortunes) have...
So it's an almost new experience for us (Wrexham) fans in the up-coming season in the Championship....we were last at this level 40-odd years ago - football's changed a tad, since!
We will be the ONLY team in the league, that have NEVER played in the top tier of English football. We will do...
Well we're leaving this forum almost as soon as we'd arrived. Didn't think for a minute it would be through the attic hatch and not via the trapdoor exit.
Would have taken a bedding-in season tbh, but when the opportunity presented itself, it had to be gone for!
Exactly the same for next...
What was that again...??
Looks like we might be playing you next season again after all. After digging yourself out of the shite, surely you'll get it done at WBA next week - when they'll probably be halfway to the beach...
M Bloomfield's methods finally sank in then... just in time...
Yep, I remember going to Watford when we were last in The Championship (or Div 2 as it was then) Your ground's changed muchly since those days - one side had about three different heights if I remember rightly.
See ya next season :2thumb:
The scenarios as I see them:
If WW get a win - more pressure on Wxm to beat Charlton and maintain that second spot.
If WW don't get the win - slightly less pressure on Wxm, as we'll likely just need a draw whereas Charlton will still HAVE to win, but with added pressure of knowing that if they...
Nah, not anymore it aint.
You can literally get 2nd if you beat us - the WW result will be known by the time we kick off, and I think they'll draw at best, meaning you have to beat us, and if you do, I can't see us beating Lincoln under that much pressure and also with them having none, infront...
How does it work when 2 teams are level on points AND goal diff at the end of the season...is it still the team who's scored the most goals wins?
Could well happen this year... :ffs: <----for us
Edit: Yep, thought so...
"If any two or more Clubs have scored the same number of points and have...
I'm ancient enough to remember our most infamous f-up when we needed just one point from our last three games to get promoted...and we blew it, so never say never, as they say.
It was a mega-day for us, with the only tiny blemish being Bpool's late goal...what consequence might it eventually have, with being SO tight?
That being said, a draw against you now (even with it being at ours...) might be OK - but tbh, we - or you, are not gonna be playing for a draw, so who...
