Only English non-league club to win the Anglo-Italian cup
First club from the English pyramid to win a game in the Scottish Challenge Cup
Last part-time team to beat a top division team in the FA Cup
Celebrity fan is Tim Vine. His brother Jeremy has been to a few games in the last few years.
Bloody hell this club isn’t good for my heart.
Very happy for Bouzanis with his 2 great saves to secure the 3 points. Great show of character after his horrid mistakes at FGR and Cardiff.
Overall I thought we deserved the win, however Hartlepool made us work for it. 2 wins in a row, hopefully...
We were by far the dominant team up until the goal. Since then Pools seem to have settled quite a bit and were unlucky not to equalise, Craig Eastmond cleared the ball off the line.
I think we’re still the dominant team here, we look dangerous with every set piece, but we need a second here.
Tonight is a chance for Sutton to build on the momentum from Saturdays first ever FL victory. Of the 4 previous games between Sutton and Hartlepool at GGL, 3 have been draws. The exception being the last encounter back in Mayon the day Sutton secured the National League title.
I would imagine...
The first few games of the season were always going to be a free hit for us as it were, with games against FGR and Salford in our first few fixtures combined with adjusting to a new league.
What we need to work on is eliminating simple errors (both goals we let in FGR were easily preventable)...
A historic day at Gander Green Lane as Sutton gained their first ever victory in the Football League.
Nice to see Richie Bennett on the scoresheet. And the big Football news of the weekend is Craig Dundas making his Football League debut at 40 years old.
Looks like we may have a game tomorrow. Which is nice.
Still no word on which players tested positive for Covid last week. Omar Bugiel is back following his trips to the UAE and South Korea as part of Lebanon’s World Cup qualifiers.
On the last day of the 2005/06 season Sutton’s ‘rivals’ carshalton athletic had to win their last game of the season and hope Hayes didn’t win theirs to have any chance of staying up in the Conference South. Hayes’ opponents on the final day? Sutton United.
Let’s say that was a 2-1 defeat that...
Unsurprisingly we have none at this level. Geographically the closest teams to us our Leyton Orient and Crawley. And we’ve never played a league game against Crawley (the pre-2004 non-league structure in Southern England was messy)
Our traditional local rivals carshalton athletic and...
Very comfortable 3-0 win over crystal palace’s kids team tonight. Sho-Silva, Smith and Korboa with the goals.
40 year old club legend Craig Dundas came off the bench for his professional debut tonight.
