I’m not going back to find the posts but they are in the threads back in August or September 2023. I’m not fussed, we’ve swapped leagues for a season. Chances are it’ll swap again in the next few seasons.
I’ve read it through and the judge allows mitigating factors for his character and previous behaviour which were exemplary. But he was still at fault and the cyclist lost his life as a result which is why he was found guilty. I’m also staggered Clough is defending him and was happy to play him...
All the best everyone. It’s been fun for four years and we pulled off some memorable wins, particularly the first two seasons. But the last two have been awful and I’m relieved it’s finally all over.
Hopefully we’ll be back at some point in the next five years and we can make a better fist of it.
Brilliant win yesterday but somehow I’d rather the life support had been pulled rather than prolonging the suffering of the patient. If we somehow beat Orient on Monday then the impossible is on. But I think they’ll be far too good for us and we’ll lose.
Do you think they’re out of reach? I mean, you’ve still got to play both Wrexham and Wycombe so potential to make up points there. Wycombe have Stockport too and I wouldn’t say Wrexham’s away games are straightforward at all.
Finally able to get on this site again. This is actually the one blessing for us getting relegated. My favourite moment was when they said they were the better team when thrashed 7-0 by Barnsley.
We’ve got:
Wigan (a)
Peterborough (h)
Northampton (h)
Shrewsbury (a)
Burton (a)
I was looking at our home games before yesterday’s game - Stevenage, Boro, Northampton, Orient and Charlton are all pretty close, then we have Birmingham and Wrexham who are going for promotion. Piece of cake…..!
Our game was awful. Seriously bad. And the fact Stevenage were terrible yet way better than us was depressing.
Honestly that was one of the worst games of football I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration.
The general consensus on our message board is we can’t understand how the first goal was given. It was a definite foul on the keeper. We got a massive break there.
Both were reds as you say. I don’t know what Hepburn-Murphy was thinking of with that. Gibbons’ challenge was just one of those...
