Ball is a really odd one. Came in from Solihull with a good reputation as a box to box midfielder, and initially, he did quite well.
Then, he got injured, and went on an ill advised "lads holiday" during last Summer, which seems to have completely ruined his work ethic and attitude to any sort...
We didn't give you extra. Our away stand holds 3650 but a few rows are blocked off for safety reasons.
If it were up to me I would have moved the season ticket holders from the end blocks in the seated stand behind the goal and given you another 1000 or so seats there.
Not that it matters, but...
Well I will put it down to him having an off day. You certainly have some huge players (physically) and the mismatch in size between the teams was even more evident that when we faced Bradfords giants a couple of weeks ago. Good luck for next season. Not sure we will be back any time soon...
Well done Sutton for taking the award for the most inept disorganised performance of the year...an award that I was sure we had in the bag. Overall however...we've got you licked in terms of overall consistency throughout the season.
If ever a team summed up being "on the beach" it was you...
And there's the problem.
Dale don't have a sugar daddy or even decent crowds, so the decent players (Lloyd, Brierley and Mullarkey) will very likely be off elsewhere. This will leave us with the dross that Stockdale signed on 2 year deals and no real room to bring good replacements in...
If we go down, which was 100% nailed on from end of January, but has now climbed to the dizzy heights of 85% nailed on; then I very much doubt that we will be able to mount a challenge to bounce back any time soon.
The really annoying thing is that the poor decisions that have culminated in us...
No dislike for Harrogate. Lovely town in a great area. They just don't have the fanbase to merit a sustained L2 run without a sugar daddy.
Crawley can do one for me. Plastic fans in a plastic stadium bankrolled by a plastic wannabee football manager boss. That said; they are currently above us...
It was an absolutely awful decision from an assistant referee who made countless other awful decisions during the game. Clearly he is nowhere near up to L2 standard. In fact, he would be useless in the local Sunday league.
Having said that, we deserved our win and played much better than a...
T'was a very poor game yesterday. Dale were awful for 70 minutes, bar the 2 new kids, one making his EFL debut (probably our best player on the day) and the other a lightweight kid up front.
Carlisle exploited our galapagos tortoises at the back ( McNulty and Keohane too slow to catch a cold...
Well said sir.
I can't do links being an old git, but there's a video on the Dale messageboard that is taken from behind the goal. It shows that it was in fact a very good tackle and EEL won the ball.
I'm still very doubtful that our penalty was a foul. In fact, I wouldn't have given it...
Was probably one of the poorest games I have seen for about 30 years. we used to be even worse than that in the 70's and 80's.
Barrow probably shaded it, but not by enough to win. But Christ we are poor.
Well.... he wasn't interested after all, and gave a very lacklustre display. So did almost every other player mind. A goddam awful watch on I follow. Glad I didn't go now.
I've taken a big decision not to go today. Mainly due to us being abjectly poor recently, but also due to cost after Donny a couple of days ago.
Quigley owes us a decent performance. He's not looked interested since returning from injury...but sadly, it doesn't show amongst most of the others...
Bradford V Dale off. Would have been at least 3000 Dale fans there as well (t/m Firthy!!)
I'm glad... we are playing very poorly at the moment, and it's been freezing this week.
