A quick look shows that 11 clubs that were in the League in 1986/87 are no longer there - now non-league. To me , that shows that those 92 did not represent the "best " clubs or why are so many now relegated out ? So I guess you're saying those 92 had some God given right to be the only clubs...

How do you define your Golden 92 , B2TF ? Clubs have come and gone throughout the Football League's history , not just since automatic promotion was introduced .

We ( Macc ) were never the best supported club when we were in the League , but for the game at Kettering ,where we clinched our promotion, we took something like 2000.

I find it incredible that a club that's spent all season striving to make the playoffs and hope to enter the League for the first time in their history , can only muster 82 fans for the playoff game. Must be extremely disappointing for the few fans that did go and what message does it send to...
