Posted this on here before, but Askey’s Macc teams almost never cheated. I don’t like cheating, but it was painful to watch others cheating against us on a near-weekly basis and we were so honest to the point it was screwing us over.

This is probably our most difficult game since Exeter away on the opening day. I think Swindon fans might be surprised by how much better we are than last season - but I think they'll still have too much and win by a few goals.

174 Macc at Stevenage yesterday - good following by our standards!

When Askey was Macc manager, my dad and I would often comment that we were far too nice and honest. It was particularly galling when other teams would be anything but. I think it’s just in his personality, I don’t think an Askey team will ever be good at the ‘dark arts’.

Someone reckons he is your next manager. I’m not convinced though - I think he left due to not being paid for months.

I’ve been in both Macclesfield and Leyton many times (exiled in London and watch them the most down here) and I’d far rather live in the former!! Leyton makes Barrow look nice in my opinion!

Tyrone Marsh was clearly not utilised properly - he was a very good player for us when we won the league at this level! He also had a pretty good record for Torquay at National League level.
