Keeps United in prime position but two more results like that could threaten their second place. Still a lot of points to play for.

Concentrating on the cups could mean a finish outside the top 4 for United if the other teams get their act together. What's worse, they don't look like they can get to the Champions League finals, much less win it. That's why you have a big squad of highly paid pros anyway, to deal with playing...
I think the new rules states top 4 from England go right through to the group stage(by virtue of their position on the UEFA coefficient table). I could be wrong though

Can I use your crystal ball for a bit? You say it like its set in stone. There's still a ways to go in the season and I'm seeing City giving Chelsea's a strong push in the final stretch. the 3rd and 4th spot won't be so easily decided as well...
Istanbul sealed his legacy as a Liverpool legend. To suggest he has failed because of a "title-losing" slip is just trolling at best. Sure its always good for a laugh when the Liverpool fans get gobby but it takes nothing away from the man's achievements as a footballer
And step up he does. An assist and a hand in the third goal. A worthy man of the match performance. Carrick is great at controlling the pace when we're facing a high tempo side. Blind brings in that little bit of extra forward momentum. Di Maria isn't playing with the flair he started with...
Much as I hate to admit it, Gerrard has been Liverpool's greatest servant the last 2 decades, regardless of their barren premiership status. Pampered would be in the same boat if Roman hadn't shown up with his money(except Lampard left). Zola didn't win the premiership, neither did Le Tissier...
If I was to decide his fate, I wouldn't pay that amount for him, based on his performances. With the wages he's on, we shouldn't be making excuses for him at this stage of the season
