    The Sack Race 2017/18

Really surprised about Sheridan considering he was allowed to bring in 4 permanent and 6 loans at the end of the August window. 3 out of the bottom 6 have now sacked thier managers and shows that teams continue to panic.

    The quality of this league-

It's only our 2nd season in this league, but judging on the teams I have seen so far, there are some rubbish teams in this league including my team. Worse I have seen so far is Gillingham in terms of quality but made up for it with fighting attitude that got them a draw against us. Blackburn...

    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2023/24

Interesting feedback about Barnett - I have noticed when he plays against us previously he shows moments of brilliance and then just goes missing. We have a manager with a proven track record of getting the best out of players with our most recent being Lyle Taylor who is now being scouted by...

    EFL Trophy rules changed again....quietly!

I am quite happy to boycott our EFL Trophy and this is coming from someone who looks forward to this competition as it is a change to see some fringe players. I am hoping our club use this also as a development game and play our kids. Its difficult in this part of the season to arrange...

    EFL Trophy rules changed again....quietly!

You may have missed this bit of news yesterday but apparrently the still unsponsored EFL Trophy will allow U23's now and also 3 over-aged players and goalkeeper. So basically it will be for "B" teams which we all knew would happen, but again the EFL try and get this news through quietly and it...

    League Cup Round 1 draw

Peterborough away for us. Not been there since we played them in a League Cup tie in the 90's. I quite like them and they are localish so easy to get to. I am reasonably happy with the fixtures and being at home to Bolton in our first home game seems a bit surreal.

The fixture or fixtures you are looking forward to the most for the 16/17 season, and why?

I can see us taking at least a 1000 to Wallsall. With the excitement of the playoff final win at Wembley, I would not be surprised to see us have a lot of newer fans, or old fans returning. God only knows where they will go for home games as they will all sell out for the early part of next...

AFC Wimbledon & Milton Keynes Dons

I am a new member to this forum but have been a Wimbledon fan for 25 years and was around at the time MK stole the league place. I think getting older and also how well Wimbledon have done has eased the hurt from back then but I wont forget what happened. I have no issue with the MK fans at all...

    New Loan Rules for 2016/17

Interesting article about the new load system from a Premiership point of view. http://www.thisisanfield.com/2016/05/new-loan-rules-201617-will-affect-liverpool-next-season/ Key things are:- - Loans can only be completed during Transfer windows (No more short term loans) - No recall option...

    Welcome the proper Dons

I got fed up with all the talk about franchise during the build up and whenever I was asked I quickly said to them it is not about them and I don't want them getting publicity on the back of our achievements. They are embarrassed about us being in thier league as the silence from them has been...

    Released/Retained Thread

We have released Adebayo Akinfenwa, Sean Rigg and Callum Kennedy. No surprises for me on the released list as Bayo is one of our highest earners and has been on the bench a lot this season. Barry Fuller, Dannie Bulman and George Francomb have signed extended deals. Really please with these...

    Welcome the proper Dons

Afternoon all, don't think it will sink in that we are in League 1 until the fixtures are out. I don't think you can fully enjoy the playoff final until you have won as you are just a bundle of nerves. A lot has been said that Plymouth didn't perform on Monday but I would suggest that is more...

L2 Play Off Final - Plymouth v AFC Wimbledon

I would snap your arm off for that £250k now! All money that the club didn't budget for as we always budget for being drawn away in each cup and never progressing past 1st round. Monday is a celebration for all Wimbledon fans and their is seriously no pressure on us. We never expected to be 90...

L2 Play Off Final - Plymouth v AFC Wimbledon

I think we are a little different in that our budget is consistent although we try to increase it slightly each season as everyone increase theirs. Other clubs in this division seriously go for it some seasons which is why they don't always carry their form into the next. If we can keep the...
