Pretty sure our budget was around the £600k mark last season? Not sure it'd go up so much, even with BtB and money coming in from Taylor and Moult's transfers.
No, booing because of what is on offer on the pitch (you can't call it football). We have a goalkeeper and a defence - that's it. We are simply dreadful to watch - it makes Brian Little's tenure seem Barcelona-esque. You expect players to be limited in ability, being at this level, but a lack of...
It is poor, but fans are fickle, aren't they? If we would've played Tranmere earlier on in the season or we still had something to play for last Saturday, we would've sold out.
Yes, but it was going to increase to £260k, so it is a no brainer really for us to take on the lease at £100k a season instead - that figure cannot increase over the 99 year period. Last year we were charged £205k, so you can see how good of a deal it really is.
Plus, we will now receive...
Excellent news.
If the board & fans can turn a club with debts of £800k into one that makes profit in just a few years, there's no reason not to make this work either. The stadium and facilities were criminally underused by the Uni. I think they're looking at around 3 years to make the ground...
We'll take 1,500 if there's nothing to play for, sell out obviously if we've got a chance of getting in the top 5. The only time we took less than 2,000 when we went there three times in in the early-mid 2000's, was about 1,600 and in typical Wrexham style, it was the only one we won of the...
The bubble obviously puts off a few, but it's probably more due to you not having been to Prenton Park for 25 years, that you took 1,500.
We've been given 2,000 unreserved tickets for PP, not sure why they didn't make it 2,500 and have reserved seating?
Which is what is it, it's the same for both home & away fans in the Yale Stand (£19 or £17adv).
If behind the goal was the same as the side stands no one would go in there - it's a dump - broken seats, holes in the roof, facilities poor etc. It isn't just the pillars, but the roof and...
No way would the WST/WAFC board touch it with a barge pole if it wasn't going to be financially beneficial.
There's rumoured maintenance costs of £1.5m needed over the next 5 years which would be priced with Glyndwr's 'preferred' contractors in mind, you could probably shave 1/2 or more off...
My god we were awful. We gifted Southport the 3 points today. I can take losing and bad performances but the players showed absolutely no effort, urge or fight. Cowards the lot of them today, bar Taylor.
My username? You do realise CPD Wrecsam is simply Wrexham AFC in Welsh. Can't help people choosing the same name.
Not surprised there idiots on your message board though, I haven't witnessed as many knuckle daggers in my life, as tonight.
They'll probably give you the side terrace as well as the terrace behind the goal. We took 1,600 there on August Bank holiday in 2008 and we only had half the side terrace in addition to behind the goal and there was still a bit of room.
