Despite us being quite defensive they still scored 5, hit the woodwork twice and had several other very good chances they should have scored, it could easily have been double figures.
Hurst made two attacking substitutions at half time, which is probably why we lost 4-0 in the second half...
I think we had a plan to try and contain and did ok (kept to a single goal for 45 mins), we lost 5-0 playing that way, if we tried to give it a go, it probably would have been 10. I do think we were poor when we had the ball though, with many miss placed passes, but that was probably just that...
Was fun while it lasted, difference in quality was far too big, but credit to our fans still in stadium and singing with pride 15 mins after full time despite losing 5-0.
Nice bit of money made, hopefully we spend it well in the summer and push for a play off finish next season.
Poor defending for the goal, no one reacted. Done ok since in holding out Brighton but been very poor when we do get the ball.
Need to make better passes going forward but the difference in quality is there for all to see, think it's only a matter of time before they get another.
Mid table finish was what we would have taken pre season anyway, the cup run is just a massive bonus on top, and should set us up to push for the play offs sooner than expected.
Think despite what Carlisle fans think, whether we are on a high or not it's more likely to be a loss after Wednesday than a win. Long trips, fighting for our lives to hold onto a win then sore heads after winning!
Besides our LGE 2 season is almost over, very unlikely to go down and just as...
To be fair apart from the two Manchester clubs away they were all shit draws!
All three championship clubs are not premier league and top of their league so unlikely to win, and Brighton and Fulham are not either of the Manchester clubs!
Someone in a WhatsApp group I'm in, he admits his source no longer works for the club so in his words "take it with a pinch of salt" but he has always posted when we are about to announce someone before it is announced, including yesterday.
