Yesterday saw the end of our 'early bird' window (prices now go up by around 25%). Sales as follows:
3431 general supporter tickets
486 Corporate and staff tickets
3917 total ST holders.
It's around 100 less than last season's final total, but I'd expect us to get to around 4250 by the start...
It's a mad league - Torquay in 14th are just 6 points off the playoffs (with games in hand on most teams above them) yet are just 5 points above the drop.
Our average is decent given we've been midtable for the majority, although it is a Northern league and our most popular away matches have already been and gone (Crewe and Macc).
On the flipside, we sold out at Crewe, Macc and Salford and although we wouldn't have taken many more to the first...
We'll fall short because we lack a killer instinct to kill off games, and lack firepower.
Lovely to keep in the hunt for as long as possible though. Some juicy looking fixtures in the final two months. Would be nice for both sides to still be playing for something when we meet Crewe on March...
Ah, Kyle Perry.
Signed by us in the aftermath of the most embarrassing defeat in our history, at Chasetown in the FA Cup. We swooped for him and a defender called Chris Slater. Amazingly it turned out that they weren't actually very good and had just played out of their skins in that one-off...
It's our only away game in London at a ground we hadn't visited for four and a half years.
I'd also say that at least 100 of that 600 reside in or around London.
In hindsight, that was a lot of fun. I didn't feel that way at five past five on Saturday but that's emotion for you.
We simply have to be winning matches like that. You can't completely murder a team for 30 minutes and still not win. The switch in momentum between the first half and the...
I'll be extremely disappointed to lose this, content with a draw and happy with a win. Good time to be playing Orient with the uncertainty around their coaching setup and the fact they haven't put it together yet this season despite playing some good stuff.
Hoping Amoo, Manny and Archer start...
Mansfield joined the ranks of Westleys' Stevenage and Fatty Evans' Crawley on Saturday.
Every single time the whistle was blown they hoofed the ball away at least 30 yards to slow down play. Rose was diving all over the shop, Bishop feigned injury on a number of occasions then offered one of...
We've sold the initial allocation of 300 for Orient and have been given 150 more.
I'd expect them to go and with a few POTD exiles we'll be looking at close to 500.
I love the FA Cup even more than the league and make a special effort to go to the FA Cup matches. Probably something to do with our record in the 90's in the competition (although we've not done much since) coupled with the fact that it offers a genuine 'club changing' opportunity in terms of...
