    Swindon v Newport

The ref was atrocious ... that's for sure. Didn't seem to want to book anybody ... that's for sure.

    Errr ... no!

    Swindon v Newport

Anti-football in the style of Lincoln City but on a meagre budget. I love it when the 'I'd hate to watch this style of football every Saturday' brigade think it's a travesty when 'football is not the winner in the end'. Crewe, Forest Green and now Swindon have tapped from side-to-side to little...

    Newport Vs Crewe

Smash and grab today but I'll take that all season long. Our strikers are struggling to find last season's form, but we are as tight as a crab's ass in defence. Crewe looked decent but why didn't Artell chuck a couple of forwards on towards the end when both teams looked tired? Hot day. Crap...

    Newport (?) v Mansfield (3)

Yes ... I was talking about the sending off. I think there was intent and you won't stay in the pitch if the ref deems it violent play ... although we've all seen worse. Both penalties were correct. Matt was clattered, and our defender brought an attacker down at speed so no complaints there.

    Newport (?) v Mansfield (3)

Roger Stone is right about the penalty though. Having seen the extended highlights and the slow motion replay that's as blatant a penalty as could be. He alters his position to put his knee(s) into Labadie's back. Any player in any league would make a meal of that.

    Newport (?) v Mansfield (3)

I read some comments that on Stagsnet that he'd be a bit part player this season. On that evidence he'd give any of your forwards a run for their money. Anyway, here we go again. Thank God the football is back. Oh ... Amond a giant? Matt certainly is (although for a big guy he's not the...

    Newport (?) v Mansfield (3)

Not upset ... just a bit tedious (and a bit pissed last night). It was all a bit Groundhog Day. It is in the nature of a forum such as this, that name calling etc. takes place in amidst the chat about football. It does me chuckle that Mansfield fans take on so re: the sort of physical football...

    Newport (?) v Mansfield (3)

I always enjoy the shrill pantomime dames who constitute the Mansfield fans on this forum who simply cannot tolerate any thing that might be construed as criticism of their team and flock together like some self-righteous lynch mob crowing about how (insert team here) are...

    Take just one player

Christian Doidge which is ironic since we turned down the chance to sign him from Carmarthen Town in 2014 after a week's trial because Justin Edinburgh thought we had 'enough strikers' He's a local lad as well. It was ex-player Mark Aizelwood, then Carmarthen Town Manager, now doing 6...

    Creepy Vs. Greeks

They tore us a new one ... although we were poor on Saturday. It could easily have been worse than 4-1.

    FA Cup 2018/19

Hello Hello Hello. County away to the Met. Will we get our collars felt? Etc. Interesting draw to say the least.

    League 2 General Chat Thread

Fair play to the 50 odd away fans and a that was a match you could have easily won which is hopefully a sign for better things to come. Someone ought to inform our defence that it's not compulsory to provide visiting teams with a two goal head start. Trevor Kettle is the worst referee I have...

    Best Away Day Ever!

Too true ... all the best with your health mate! It's one of the things that is even more important than football ... or so I'm told. They'll never take those memories away.

    Right 'Ammerings

This thread cheered me up no end. In fact what with all these tales of woe, our victory at Tranmere on Saturday and Cardiff shipping five goals at home to Man. City, the Yeovil game is fading like a bad dream. As suspected, we have all got mullered at home. Thanks for the free therapy :10:

    Right 'Ammerings

Ironically Wayne Hatswell is now County's Assistant Manager. One of the best own goals of all time. Always makes me chuckle.

    Best Away Day Ever!

Brilliant stuff in this thread. The very essence of why we follow our team on the road. Shame these sorts of days don't happen too often, but they are all the sweeter when they happen and we never ever forget them. Someone should write a book called Away Days and pack it full of these sorts of...

Oooooh ... Hark at Mr 'We've got an air raid siren, we're a MASSIVE club'. We're so big I forget other teams even exist.' (PS I quite like the air raid siren) ;)

    Best Away Day Ever!

After witnessing the unbridled joy and astonishment of the Yeovil fans on Saturday who were quite rightly having a brilliant time at our expense, it would be interesting to know what your best ever awayday was. That time when your team really turned it on, silenced the home supporters and made...
