Hahaha I'm messing with you mate, I was hoping you'd see the sarcasm in my tone. It was a common joke on here 3 years ago to say Lima was in altitude

  4. Libertadores FC

    Sweden v South Korea, 18th June, 1pm(GMT)

I'm watching South Korea against Honduras right now, and they are looking clueless against a side that decided to bunker down. Sweden tend to do that a lot as far as I'm aware, so I can see a draw or a narrow Sweden win. I hope Lee Seung Woo plays. He's a talent.
  5. Libertadores FC

    Peru v Denmark, 16th June, 5pm(GMT)

Despite believing we are better than Denmark, we are still underdogs in this, which is a good thing as we thrive in those conditions. Assuming no one gets injured, I think we will lineup like this Gallese Advincula - Rodriguez - Ramos - Trauco Tapia - Yotun Carrillo - Cueva - Flores Farfan...

    World Cup 2018

This whole Paolo Guerrero issue has become a soap opera. I can get his frustration but some of the claims he is making isn't going to help himself. He's not going, I wish he can just accept it. We have won games without him anyways, so I'm not concerned.

We probably won't have a manager by then, but nevertheless it should be an interesting one.

    1. Only an idiot would claim Nigeria to be a more traditional football nation than Uruguay, who have more semi-final appearances than any African nation in their history. 2. Paraguay aren't world class, but they are a good side albeit not excellent. My point was that they always produce quality...

    The International Friendlies thread

And on Paraguay... 8 World Cup qualifications in by far the hardest qualification zone and 1 quarter final. 2 Copa Americas with less resources than anyone else in the continent. As I said, being good at football is the most important factor.
  16. Libertadores FC

    The International Friendlies thread

You're an idiot. Teams don't always perform in tournaments, it doesn't always speak for their level. Uruguay is, have and always will be a better team than Nigeria.
  17. Libertadores FC

And don't even bring me the excuse that its a "poor country with little infrastructure". Paraguay is one of the poorest countries in the world also with few people, and they always churn out good players.
  18. Libertadores FC

    The International Friendlies thread

Uruguay are better than Nigeria by kilometres, with 169 million less people. Population has its factors, but it is largely irrelevant.

I would be surprised if there was, to be honest. Luckily for him I don't insult in football debate.
  20. Libertadores FC

    The International Friendlies thread

Population doesn't mean shit in terms of 1 on 1. Being good at football does though.
