FGR Boreham Wood is a fair distance, would have put us V Solihull or Torquay and put Eastleigh in to play one of the other 9 clustered South East area teams for that weekend.
Given the population having only Solihull as a Midland club in this league is strange TBF,
Thanks GTFC fish, and funny you say about the speed of the second half, few round us said they had never seen the time speed by so much. It was a hugely better game that the tight game at TNL. Ive always enjoyed the Grimsby matches, and will miss you guys next season.
What was the song you all...
Well done to The Fish- your fans were great & we enjoyed the game which could have quite easily been levelled, but we simply didnt take the chances we had, GTFC was just more clinical. Perhaps it was just more determination that got you over the line in the end.
More of the action happened...
And to think that Halifax turned down Mazher Mahmood offering them financial backing on 3 separate occasions. :bravo:
The fake sheikh was quoted later as saying those Halifax Top lads were the only club in the whole conference and 3 tiers lower to resist my wonga- what heros to a man woman and...
Lets see, 33% of 47,029 = 15,519 plus 3000 minimum = well over the 16,346. Unless GTFC have Wemberlee fatigue and the 42,000 that will see them romp to victory the week after arent coming on Sunday- day trippers
Exactly, and we will all be singing foreward black and white army foreward black and white army
Just clarifying if the Grimsby lot dont think we are singing
Gashead- nor are many of us, time will tell, we will loose some as well as gain, its a big gamble....
I would be intrigued to know whats going on in Hursts mind. He loves to try to second guess and put out the team he thinks can beat the opposition, rather than actually putting on his best...
Ah lush, weve won the Gloucestershire county cup tonight, thrashing Bishops Cleeve FC ummm 1-0 , what a week, just the third piece of the trio to go now :db:
Good call then for the 1000 minus GTFCfish then, reading the website again that is clear, its the other fans who stay up in the middle tier. misread it myself, but never mind, like to donate to Wemz coffers whenever possible...
Just a thought (Rare spark mind you, nothing earthshattering, us Vegans know when a spark takes place, could lead to spontaneous combustion) But would it help for Right backs to be listed? When only seen once or twice a season (Or 4 for play offs) its hard to remember who plays where, just...
We have barely anyone on a contract at the moment, among those not with a contract is Frear, Clough, Raccine and Bennett.
Apart from KMB none of our starting eleven of choice is on a contract.
About 100 did Les, compared to 1000 for Grimsby. However I gather they are in the middle tier rather than the lower, not sure that ideal actually, its not so good for joined up singing. Im sure thats why the FGR sales werent good, and nothing to do with FGR at the time playing so badly it was...
Apparrently he had a release/ trigger clause, if they got a certain number of points he would stay on. They didnt.
Im a little more wary of his appointment, merely being a legend and knowing the area isnt good enough, nor is playing exciting football if you are letting in more than you score...
Bit of a contrast between the Braintree tweet of "objects being thrown at our keeper" and empty bottles as you say. Now how far does an empty plastic bottle travel?
Anything thrown in my view could be dangerous, its a slippery slope. So those "fans" will be back next season throwing stuff at...
You assume the fans are overly excited? its a tolerance worn of not biting a hand that feeds us. He does go by the sustainability and of course we hope that he will continue to support us- thats the big worry for some, hopefully most.
Thing is he likes it that FGR is thought of as that. It...
Fair enough, it is good marketing for a green energy company, just like its good commerce for The World of Smiles stadium to be so named I suppose on a different level. For FGR it was possible financial doom (Much debated, but pretty likely) or rescue in 2011. Think you are being a bit harsh on...
