Agree with you re the changes. One I wouldn't change is Sam Graham, who I thought had a decent game last week (arguably better than both EEL and John). Whilst Big Ben looked decent in his cameo, and will possibly be a future starter, I'd leave the back three alone for Gills.
Dreadful first half, much better second.
Can Liam Kelly please feck off and find a job more suited to his physique, such as pot-of-gold minder at the Connemara Rainbow Company....
Good turnout from Crewe (800 odd), but they're no World beaters either.
Half wish we'd signed him:
1) All accounts from Stockport say he's a decent player and a good bloke as well
2) Making your 2nd FL appearance 9+ years after your 1st, but for the same club, would be a thing...
Young (18 yo) Centre back Ben Nelson joins Dale on a season-long loan from Leicester.
Been in their squad for European games, and played for England U18s.
Sounds promising...
Crewe at home.
Will probably be 3-5-2.
Maybe a couple more in this week on loan, but as things stand:
GK - Richard O'Donnell
RCB - Max Taylor
CCB - Ethan Ebanks-Landell
LCB - Cameron John
RWB - Femi Seriki
RCM - James Ball
DCM - Toums Diagouraga
LCM - Liam Kelly
LWB - Aidy White
FW - Ian...
Biggest downer of the game was Jimmy Keohane picking up an injury. Leaves us with only Aidy White - not known for being consistently fit to play himself - as a natural left wing back. May end up with Tyrese Sinclair or Devante Rodney filling in there, which could be interesting...
GK - Burge (Northampton)
D - Canavan (Barrow)
D - Eastham (Salford)
MF - Newby (Col Ewe)
MF - Muldoon (Harrogate)
MF - Henderson (Rochdale)
A goalie and five ex-Daleys (one of whom has returned to the true faith).
To be fair, yours is better than mine for the crucial reason that I'd forgotten Wigan were in that division. If I'd remembered them, you wouldn't have been in the bottom 3!
Cov and Rov are in there because they have ex Dale players who they might sell for megabucks if they do well. (So do Blackpool, but some things are just too unlikely...)
Now if you guys had kept Joe Raff on you might have gotten included. :)
Top: Middlesbrough
Up: Burnley
Playoffs: Coventry, Rotherham, Sheff U & Norwich, the last of whom will win them and earn another year of cannon-fodderage in the Prem.
Comfortably mid table: Luton
Down: Sunderland (hope not, but not sure they're strong enough)
Cardiff (been meh for a few...
Won 4-1 at Scunny, with all the goals coming in the second half. Liam Kelly, two from Tyrese Sinclair and Abraham Odoh with the fourth.
One trialist sub. Involved in the build up to a couple of the goals (per twitter) so might be pursued. Also a late sub appearance for one of our academy lads...
