I wouldn't expect a particularly decent turnout. Two poor performances off the back of relegation will see to that. I suppose it should be 1000+ but if it is I can't see it being many over. We'll probably lose.
If I did it was under this username. No, not me. It wasn't the cheating itself that annoyed me as such, more the wankers celebration when he got the decision.
I like my cheats to be coy and self conscious.
There's gonna be a few away fans strolling around looking for a bit of bother and no doubt they will find locals willing to indulge them. Plenty of gesturing and hoping the police arrive before anyone actually does anything. All pretty sad really in 2017.
I think we'll do OK this season despite the continuing off-field (there was plenty ON it too last season) rubbish and I can see us winning and winning well on Saturday.
I recall my mates and I being herded up by Notts police and taken to the Village nightclub (presumably long gone) where we were effectively locked in and plied with booze while Chesterfield friendly songs were played by a DJ.
We missed kick off as it wasn't till five minutes before the start we...
A healthy number of season tickets sold and counted whether attending or not (lots weren't by the end) and various schools offers and giveaways kept things respectable. Next season that will not be the case without a change of ownership.
I've stopped going to home games a mile away and didn't go to a single away game last season for the first time in 20+ years.
That 500 of us wanted to go to this game is remarkable really given everything.
Not bad numbers given our impending relegation, off field turmoil & abysmal away record.
Would perhaps have been double that had we even been battling relegation rather than embracing it.
