The team we have this season are quite robust and more than capable of grinding out results, as well as playing decent football. Not sure how you come to the conclusion that we won't. Portsmouth and Plymouth seem to be the ones that are struggling to grind out results consistently...
As always, the FSF website is a good place to go to to get information on standing. http://www.fsf.org.uk/campaigns/safe-standing/the-legalities-of-standing/
As it points out, it's not against the law (ie. a criminal offence) to stand at football matches and you can't be arrested for doing...
I don't think the loss of Taylor (he hasn't impressed me as much as he has some other Oxford fans) and Maguire weakens us as I think we are a better team with the two that should replace them (Hylton and O'Dowda). O'Dowda will certainly provide a quicker more direct attacking threat.
As said...
Pretty much agree with Eric's account above, in that the three games in a week may have got to the players a little bit, but they still played a lot of decent stuff.
The first half was quite even and going in level was fair. Second half though, we had enough attacks and possession to have won...
No way do we play defensively, even we do have a good defence. Our present team is the most exciting we have had to watch for 15 years plus, and with our play, and number of chances created, we have been unlucky not to score far more goals then we have.
Having said that, Saturday is going to...
A bit of a disappointment to only draw, but you can't win them all!
The first half we did not play our usual pressing game and allowed Newport far too much time. Second half was much better and we practically laid siege to their goal, with just a bit of wasteful finishing, some decent blocks...
Well, as you know, American funds are mentioned on the Oxford forum by someone who is itk. Some interesting detail on that thread.

After the first few matches where he was ok, but nothing more, he has been outstanding and our most influential player.
I think he now has 9 goals for us, and is unlucky not to have more and, from what I've read, he seems to have a lot more freedom to get forward than he did when at yours -...
He's a chippy knob. That blustering interview was just because he wants his mate to take over.
Looking at the Northampton forum a few months ago, most of you wanted shot of him!
I hope stays as then you can look forward to the usual post January blow up.
Not a great first half from us, but the second half was the best I've seen in years.
The finishing could have been better, as we had 7 or 8 very good chances, plus the missed penalty.
O'Dowda ripped your full back to pieces and you couldn't cope with a rampant Hylton.
6 or 7-1 wouldn't...
