yes there was a boycott for this game, but because i couldn't go to the first game i turned up as one of our scabs. it was nice to see a low crowd from both sides sticking two fingers up to the money grabbing power and lovely having a copper for each rovers fan!
I'm going tonight as i missed the 1st game, looking forward to it.
I'm hearing that Swindon have more injuries in midfield and defence although they do have the two players sent off against Oxford back. here's hoping DC does his thing and re-jigs the side to start with Lines and Colkett as we...
gotta love that thread title, simple but classic!
anyway we will adopt our usual away tactics of defend for our lives first, which hasn't worked at all this season so far and you will when easily.
Utg!
I think we will be lucky to sell the 900 as there are plenty of Rovers fans trying to implement a boycott via social media. personally i missed the 1st game due to family wedding and am undecided if i'll attend although i expect to be heavily influenced by peer pressure and alcohol on saturday...
the word is that the picture was taken from an official source and that it was mislabelled, still it should have been checked by someone with some football knowledge before going public :emb: another classic from our media department!
We have yet to sell our full allocation strangely with only 2,300 sold so far but i'm sure they'll go before the weekend. I'm missing the game due to a wedding so i'll be at the mercy of the internet and text messages to see how we get on. i fancy either a 1-1 draw or a 0-1 away win followed by...
I'm usually a bit meh about Rovers friendlies and those of any standard tbf but there's some in here of interest for once:
Friday 8th July - Mangotsfield (A) 7.45pm
Saturday 9th July - Salisbury (A) 12pm
Tuesday 12th July - Bath City (A) 7.45pm
Wednesday 13th July - Weston Super Mare (A)...
I'm looking forward to knocking a few off my list in Sheffield United, Cov, Bolton & Charlton (last three have all changed grounds since i last went there) plus the standard Swindle, Oxford, Walsall and Shrewsbury (weetabix) games and I'm also hoping the other London trips we have are not on a...
Stories in the press now stating that Cellino is talking to someone over in Italy, hopefully Clarke has already told him to do one!
I do agree with the comments re the owner and showing some actions rather than words though. although he has compiled a team of experts to deliver the stadium and...
I'm not as confident as you and will take 0-1 win in front of a sold out away section as revenge for our home defeat.
Stevenage are saying we've sold 1200 already.
that sounds like our least favourite recipe tbh, i'm hoping for us to score an early goal or it'll be huff and puff our way through to a 0-1 loss. Harrold to score obviously.
prices held for the 6th year running at the gas, early bird terrace prices are £260, stand seats start at £300.
The club are looking to beat last years ST total of 3,526.
Harrold missed the home defeat to Exeter with a knee injury and LDV was an unused sub.
I'd take that again if it helps us to a home win.
Can we not have the 2 mins of madness that cost us the away game please Gas?
There the Knights Templar which is a spoons right next to the train station which is a good meeting point. i'd also look into getting the train from TM to Montpelier which is a quick and cheap way to get across town and as good a stating point on Glos Rd as any.
UTG!
