looking forward to this one, i've not been to Nottingham with Rovers since the early 90's so it should be a good one. I'm hearing a half decent turnout for the gas as well so it should be a decent away day. 8am chuffer from Bristol, so it could be a long long day! :2thumb:
All the ingredients...
We've not won at pompey in living memory! The last time was in 1975 so i'm hoping our decent away form and large away following can make a difference this time. i think a draw may be on the cards!
I see that you've sold out the south stand seats, any ideas how many of you will be getting wet on the terrace?
all seats are sold so it should be a half decent crowd of 6-7k despite the rain.
Given you haven't lost in any of the last 8 away games i fancy this will be a 0-0 bore draw unless akinfenwa bags one.
Weather forecast in Bristol is rain all day Saturday, so i'd go for the seats in the tent end (south stand) if you want to keep your pasty dry.
Up the gas!
fair play to stanley who deserved the win on the day and the first team to do the double over us for a fair while.
must admit i was among a few gas that didn't fancy the rain/sleet/hail/snow/high wind combo on the open away terrarce and went in the home end where we had some good natured...
on the 7.30 train so:
a) desperately hoping the game is on,
b) that we don't lose,
c) it doesn't p*ss down all game
any 2 from 3 and i'm happy as long as we have a few beers!
UTG!
Interesting game to call this one, head says it'll be a home win but heart says that we will repeat the 0-1 we've competed a fair few times this season and against Oxford in the past (Andy Rammell etc).
One thing is for sure the Thames Valley plod will get some more practice at kettling as they...
This is a defnite concern for me given the recent rain and cold snap forcast (and a number of my mates) as we had to book train tickets two months ago to get a decent price and more recently game tickets. i can see us all throwing away £60+ each at this rate.
touching wood when i type this but we've only conceded 3 goals twice this season:
Morcambe 3 - 4 Gas
Gas 1 - 4 Zooport
so i'm thinking it will be a low scoring game.
I'd have to go with a 7/10 for the gas purely for our home form otherwise it would be 8s or 9s, if we can sort that out (and we seem to be on the way to doing that) then we can push on in the 2nd half of the season. it will be interesting to see what player movement happens in January as a...
I'm going for a 0-1 win for the gas, our record is generally good against the wombles and as long as the players don't have too much turkey i can see us notching another away win.
