Is your club equipped for being promoted? And at what price

Financially we're in a good position, no debt. We usually have small profit every year, including last year when we won League Two. I would expect us to have a slightly larger profit this year give the sale of El Khayati to QPR. The new TV deal next season should we get promoted will do a lot to...

    Grounds you've been to.

I've not seen that ground mapping website before (not sure why it's taken this long). I'll take some time to get mine done. We've been in 5 different leagues since 1987 (when I started following Burton religiously). Most of mine will be non-league grounds, as in th 90's I was single & without...

Brewers V Bottlers (Burton V Gills)

As an aside, someone posted this on the brewers forum, average attendances throughout the years. Actually if it went back to 2000 the average attendance then was 600. Quite an impressive rise IMHO. 2006/2007 1,869 2007/2008 1,786 2008/2009 2,434 (promotion from conference season) 2009/2010...

Brewers V Bottlers (Burton V Gills)

The club (burton) are claiming home tickets are almost sold out. If this is correct, it's a shame Gillingham aren't bringing more, we could have set a new stadium record - which was set in the conference against Oxford in 2009 (6192), a game we needed to win to get promoted (we lost it 1-0!)...

The League One Promotion Thread 15/16

I think we're back on it. Last night was the Burton of old, if they can play half as well as that we should get a result at Colchester. We had Wigan on the ropes for the whole second half (I thought Wigan were class as well in the first 30 minutes) . It's ours to throw away IMO.

Top of league one at Christmas

The new TV deal next season may well be a game changer for smaller clubs. I did hear somewhere that Championship clubs will get between 6-8 million per season from next season. I think our wage budget is less than 1.5 now. So should the unthinkable happen, it may be perfectly timed.

    JFH to QPR

Ok, so all I want is a manager that has either improved the league position or got more points of all 3 clubs he has been to, every year, year on year (I don't think there are any exceptions that I'm aware of!) for about 15 years. So, just steady year on year improvement, someone that has...
