That's the thing with Barton, it's not like he can morally say "no we shouldn't sign him because..."
We can't all have a nice guy like Jon Brady :bg:
:hypo:
once we get rid of B teams, I'm sure there must be a way of making the group stage a pre-season type thing. or even delay the league slightly. It will improve attendances with the good weather and interest over new signings, the quality of the first couple of league games, and allow people who...
I think that might in part be due to the fact they got promotion, although he did only join half way through the season. No surprise he hasn't had a promotion anywhere else really.
One thing that stood out to me was in Taylor's 2nd season with us. We were relegated the previous season and were looking particularly vulnerable at the start of the next. For some reason he was also captain, every game something went wrong (not always his fault). But he would blame and shout...
Patrick Brough from Barrow has signed a 2 year contract. A very us signing atm, infact so much, he seems very similar to Ryan Haynes. + a very Carlisle accent.
A real shame Hummel has been effected by its distributor. Our claret kit from 2021/22 was fantastic. Last years ruined by a stupid sponsor on the back but still a nice nod to history. We're also moving to Puma this year, hope they've got the weird 'revamping the football kit name across the...
According to a trusted itk on our forum, we are interested in signing Jacobs again (after having contact in the last couple of windows)
We had a bid rejected for Harvey Knibbs last year, so again wouldn't be surprised if we offer him a contract as well.
I'd take Crackers back. Apperently we were interested last year. In a different role to when he was first here, he could be a real asset. Although there does seem to be a feeling amongst the fan base that we shouldn't be signing any more players with history of injuries.
Not the same player now, injuries - knees, and so hasn't really fit in with our high energy game. When he gets the ball he shows his obvious quality, but the problem is running to get it. I can see him leaving, mainly because of wages, still has a year left though.
Been back up to Liam Roberts and then Lee Burge, and even when Burge got injured we brought in Tom King. I think he has had some personal issues, so maybe a return to his family home in Yorkshire?
For once it looks like we will keep our management team (all settled in their adopted home for a number of years) and with most of our key players under contract, have a relatively settled summer. Within a few days of the 2016 champions season, we lost Chris Wilder and key player Ricky Holmes...
Don't worry guys, I'm sure we'll all see you in league two again soon enough! It does look like we have more building blocks in place, at least compared to the Curle era....(hopefully)
thanks for the nice welcome! I take you don't like the fact everyone is on our side with what went on. Can't be nice having a guy like Barton in charge.
How is Ryan Loft doing?
