Stickied Transfer Rumours & Confirmed Deals Thread 2024/25

The mighty Brewers according to the local rag are looking to bring in Aaron Pierre from Wycombe and Jackson Irvine from Raith Rovers. Would be happy with both of those.

    Transfer records?

I have been thinking that, the fans are very close to the pitch and on top of the players at the Pirelli. The place should be full and rocking every match.
  6. THE TERRACEMAN

    Transfer records?

Thanks for that, gives encouragement, for what its worth I think it can be done with some shrewd dealings. Burton Albion a championship club ? It will only sink in when the fixtures come out in a couple of weeks !
  7. THE TERRACEMAN

    Transfer records?

You would think so but don't be surprised if we don't ! Cloughie has his targets, no idea who they are but one thing I guarantee is we won't over spend and will stick to our budget.
  8. THE TERRACEMAN

    Transfer records?

Yes mate it does show the differences quite markedly, it actually seems to fire our team up for the challenge, we will be the under dog in every game this season home and away and as I have stated previously it will be like the FA Cup 3rd round for us in all 46 games. We would be delighted just...

    Transfer records?

We have paid about 20,00 three times for a player, Russell Peen from Kidderminster in our first season in the league, a similar amount for Billy Kee from Torquay United and again for Lucas Akins from Stevenage a couple of seasons ago and he has been top scorer for the last 2 seasons ! We may...

    Welcome Burton Albion

Most of my mates are Potters fans but they come to watch the Albion too, far more than they used to, alliances are beginning to change. They used to rip me to bits years ago but now I see some of them home and away with the Brewers there local team.

Stickied Transfer Rumours & Confirmed Deals Thread 2024/25

I suspect our transfer activity might be the least talked about in the championship ! Anyway for anybody who is interested we have been linked with Sonny Bradley a 6'5'' defender from Crawley and I have heard rumours about James Wilson of Oldham and Ben Turner of Cardiff, no idea if any of these...

    Welcome back Barnsley

  13. THE TERRACEMAN

Burton Albion as an away day

I am sure I have read all matches will be all ticket next season, very little chance of getting in the home stands unless you know some one in Burton who will get you a ticket.
  14. THE TERRACEMAN

Burton Albion as an away day

I lived in Wednesfield up to the age of 9 and went to watch Wolves at Molineux as a lad, will be the 2nd time I have returned with Burton Albion. last time was a Birmingham Senior cup tie. This was shortly before the demolition of the famous old South Bank !
  15. THE TERRACEMAN

Burton Albion as an away day

I understand the chairman is looking into what can be done with the away end. Mind, he will have to move sharpish !
  16. THE TERRACEMAN

Burton Albion as an away day

Just thought I would throw this one out there. Although I am not sure what changes if any will be made to the away end, at the moment there is limited seating along one side for something like 300 and covered terracing for around 1,800 I think in the away end. At present our capacity is 6,912 ...

    Kits for next season

Burton Albion have stuck with Burton based TAG Sports to supply their kit for next season. That's over 20 years of partnership which must be some sort of record. The company have supplied the club from the Southern league to the championship ! That's the kind of loyalty that runs through this...
