    Peru v Denmark, 16th June, 5pm(GMT)

Gallese Advincula - Rodriguez - Ramos - Trauco Tapia - Yotun Carrillo - Cueva - Flores Farfan That's the rumoured lineup for today. Odd not to see Paolo Guerrero but if he's not match fit enough then fair enough.
  2. Libertadores FC

    Portugal v Spain, 15th June, 7pm(GMT)

Ronald has been out half the season with Newcastle Jets though :(
  3. Libertadores FC

    Egypt v Uruguay, 15th June, 1pm(GMT)

Keep in mind Uruguay are slow tournament starters. 2016 Copa America - 1-3 loss vs Mexico 2015 Copa America - 1-0 win vs Jamaica 2014 World Cup - 1-3 loss vs Costa Rica 2013 Confederations Cup - 1-2 loss vs Spain 2011 Copa America - 1-1 draw vs Peru 2010 World Cup - 0-0 draw vs France 2007 Copa...
  4. Libertadores FC

    Egypt v Uruguay, 15th June, 1pm(GMT)

Its just as I feared. Uruguay deploying their shitty long ball tactics from the qualifiers. I get that historically thats how they like to play, but you could honestly do so much more with what you have. Dire game so far.
  5. Libertadores FC

    Peru v Denmark, 16th June, 5pm(GMT)

He's good, but he doesn't fit into the style + Paolo Guerrero and Jefferson Farfan are better players. He's scored 30+ goals in Mexico the last 2 years, and he's carried the last 2 teams he's played for. There is just no room for him in the starting lineup. He'll only come on if we're really...
  6. Libertadores FC

    Peru v Denmark, 16th June, 5pm(GMT)

I'd be surprised if he gets a minute in the World Cup.
  7. Libertadores FC

    Russia v Saudi Arabia, 14th June, 4pm(GMT)

I just wanted to point fingers at Juan Antonio Pizzi. Saudi Arabia were likely going to lose tonight no matter what, but the tactical display was suicide. There was no cover for the attacking full backs and tried to play it from the back when throughout the match, it was seen that those...
  8. Libertadores FC

    Peru v Denmark, 16th June, 5pm(GMT)

Only 3 days away from our return to the World Cup. I am bloody nervous.

    The International Friendlies thread

Drew 0-0 with Sweden, thought we had a good game for the most part. I think the draw looked firmed on seeing how the second half started, but it wasn't a bad game. Just lacking in shots.
  10. Libertadores FC

    Peru v Denmark, 16th June, 5pm(GMT)

He isn't, barely missed out, which I'm fine with. I think he has talent but he has been below average every single time he's played for us.

He has no problems spelling population though amirite

    The International Friendlies thread

We just beat Saudi Arabia 3-0 without even breaking a sweat. Sweden next as the last friendly before the World Cup.
  14. Libertadores FC

Is England's squad good enough to succeed in Russia?

Christ, another population argument by St Juste. And Scotland are not in any way better than Costa Rica.
  15. Libertadores FC

    World Cup 2018

You didn't miss much. We are a joy to watch on top form, but we weren't on that tonight. Good luck in the altitude of Mexico City later this week.
  16. Libertadores FC

    World Cup 2018

We are good enough to knock out Argentina if we get them. This version of the Albiceleste is flat and has a lot of players that go MIA. Its not a myth that they are carried by Messi, they genuinely are. However, I still don't think we will. I think we will find ourselves in a similar situation...
  17. Libertadores FC

    World Cup 2018

It was quite a boring match in Peru's worst performance in 2 years. We had little iniative and never got out of first gear. Scotland's goalkeeper Archer made 2 mistakes that led to 2 goals. Scotland didn't even do that well to bunker down, we just played a lazy game. Overall though I am happy...

    World Cup 2018

We kick off in 2 hours if you're still about SALTIRE
  19. Libertadores FC

    Russia v Saudi Arabia, 14th June, 4pm(GMT)

Saudi Arabia are nowhere near as bad as some suggest. They aren't a good team, but I wouldn't call them second worst. Very fast paced and technical game they play, and the Saudi Arabian league is the best in the middle east, with local talent that actually knows how to play.
