Typical fixture between the sides. Low scoring and not much in it. Frustrating from our point. Plenty of decent build up play and crosses but nobody on the end of them. Lost count of the number of times we were caught offside.
Was a nothing game until Van La Parra had his moment of madness. Last 20 minutes were nervy. We seemed to fall apart a bit when we made the subs. 6 of our games have been against teams in the top 8 and the next is against the team in 9th. Certainly done a lot better than i and other Reading fans...
We have a crap recent home record against Huddersfield in the league and that's when they were an average side. Nakhi Wells will score against us as he always does. Would be pleased with a point which would keep our unbeaten run going.
Was hoping we would get West Ham away. Fed up with playing Arsenal. Rather them than another Championship club though. Maybe if we go 4-0 up we can hold on this time.
Must admit after Williams got booked i was hoping Stam was going to take him off as i felt there was a chance he would do something silly in the second half. Think we have had more bookings than most sides in the Championship this season. About time. Been complaining for a few seasons that we...
The exact comment one of my mates said when he was appointed. Certainly doing well so far. Started last season well though and we know how that went. Team spirit looks a lot better this season.
We will probably make a fair few changes. Expect Brighton will as well. Nothing duller than playing a team from your own division in the cup. At least the tickets for our game are cheap.
Been to Oakwell 5 times and yet to see us lose up there. Would be pleased to take a point and keep our unbeaten run going. Hopefully Swift will start. Made a difference on Tuesday night. Looked a lot more threatning when he was on. Think we will start like this
Al Habsi
Gunter
McShane
Moore...
So far better than we were in the last 7 months of last season under Clarke and McDermott. Played fairly well so far this season apart from up at Wolves where we were crap/ Wolves were very good. Playing more of a passing game this season although that does not stop some of our support moaning...
May head over to the Racecourse ground tomorrow to watch Ascot United v Tonbridge Angels in the FA Cup. Don't think the Yellamen have much chance though. Tonbridge are second in the league.
Apparantly Gyan failed a medical so we won't be bringing him in. Won't be fully fit for eight weeks. Still hoping we bring in one more striker. Rumours saying that McCleary is joining Cardiff.
