Consensus amongst Blackpool fans seems to be that he was excellent on loan with them a few years ago but struggled this time. Bruce’s 442 didn’t suit him at all. He was injured for the bulk of last season, hence only playing twice for Derby.
23 appearances this season, 15 of them in league 1. Admittedly most were from the bench. He did start in the FA Cup and used car trophy last month though.
Signings to come in the next couple of days. Almost certain that one of them is Callum Whelan, and Embleton seems to be a very strong rumour. Still sorely lacking in the engine room, especially in the renewed absence of Callum Guy.
We can't defend. Our midfield is too easily bypassed. We lose games, even when we lead in the 93rd minute.
We're actually going down, aren't we?
I'm close to being done with this crap.
At least, until Saturday - Birkenhead beckons. I'd say I can't wait, but I'd be lying.
He's just regurgitating what's already circulating.
We're also being linked with Stephen Wearne at MK.
That's 3 central midfielders we're being linked with today.
Don't think he's injured at the minute, but has had a couple of issues over the last couple of seasons. Looks to me like Bruce has decided to move him on and that's why he's been dropped from their squad (speculation, admittedly). His last 4 games for them were starts. Sounds like he doesn't...
Dropped out of the squad in recent weeks. Seems to have had a couple of injury issues over the past couple of years, hopefully they're behind him now. 23 appearances in all competitions for Blackpool this season, but it looks like many of them were from the bench.
Should be over 800 on the day, as a few of us didn't buy in advance. Not helped by our glorious rail system either. Crewe away, and there are no trains running. You couldn't make it up.
Fingers crossed. One thing that was very noticeable yesterday was the leadership of Jordan Jones, who was wearing the captains armband for the first time. Tough game at Crewe next, before another bottom of the table clash at Tranmere...
Anyhow, the attendance yesterday wasn't bad. At this point, I think we'd be clearing 10k regularly if we were any good. But we're not. We're beleaguered.
