Jack Hinchy has joined on loan from Brighton until the end of the season.
A CM but other than that, I know nothing about him and whether he’s a good player or not time will tell I guess.
Grimsby fans, heard anything about Abo Eisa coming back to us?
A mate who’s ITK has messaged me this lunch time telling me that Hurst is keen on bringing him back to Salop. I always thought it was mistake letting him go after less than a year with us in the first place but that was down to Sam...
His Dad is a season ticket holder at Salop. I know he wants to come back but I think we’ll wait until the summer and get him on a permanent. A midfield trio potentially consisting of Woods/Price/Bayliss going into next season would be a dream!
As we now play 4-3-3 instead of a 5-3-2, we desperately need a couple of wingers, a RB and a CM. Unfortunately Hursty has said that it’s unlikely anybody will be joining. Think if the PE teacher that is Taylor was still here, we probably would have had two or three new players by now but Hurst...
Northampton away.
First time in a long time that we travel away from home in more hope rather than fear. We’ve scored four away goals all season under Taylor, I’d like to think we can score atleast one tomorrow.
Hurst didn’t do any media duties ahead of the game yesterday and has asked for no...
There’s been a wave of optimism and excited on our forum and social media in the last couple of hours. We’ve bloody needed something like this as it’s been stale for too long, hopefully it lasts!
Shocked FGR have managed to get Cotterill. He can do better than a job at the bottom of the football league with one of the smallest clubs in the 92 (no disrespect FGR fans).
Reckon he’ll keep you up though. Won’t be pretty football and you’ll turn into the biggest shithouses going over night...
Ipswich and especially Scunthorpe were a bit of a mess when Hurst went in. With Grimsby he won them promotion back to the football league, beating moneybags Wrexham away from home along the way. Also took a League 2 teams to the quarter final of the FA Cup last season. He’s far, far, far better...
Pete O’Rourke has tweeted that Paul Hurst is set to be named as new Salop manager.
Brilliant news as far as I’m concerned. Especially as we also spoke to Gareth Ainsworth today, so glad we didn’t go with him. I don’t think the fanbase could stomach a 5th straight year of anti, negative...
Trust me, I’m far from optimistic at the minute mate! See who the new manager is, might be another inexperienced head coach and if so that’ll send us down, that I’m certain.
We’ve got a DOF and a head of recruitment who will be signing the players. Still trying to sign Nathan Fraser from Wolves and a striker from Crystal Palace.
We only won one out the last ten because we had next to no players available and were playing multiple players out of position. Remember who was on our benches during those games? One game we named 5 subs, two were GK’s and the other three were kids who’ve never played. There was next to no...
Looks like we’re signing Jack Price. Be a ridiculous signing for League One that. We’re only getting him because he’s a Salop lad and him and his family are big Town supporters. Injured until February/March which is the downside to the deal.
I’ve never known a season like this one with regards to injuries. We once had 13 out at once and even now we still have 9/10 out. That shouldn’t be used as an excuse with how poor we are currently, but it has been an hindrance for us.
We’ve got the main core of players from last season still...
I hope you’re right! Really want Moore out of the club and a Paul Hurst return. This group of players are massively under performing and Hurst & Doig would certainly get us up the table. We must go with what we know as relegation would be terrible for us at this moment in time.
According to an ITK on our forum our chairman has two options.
1) Keep Moore as DOF and appoint Duff.
2) Sack Moore and appoint Hurst and Doig.
Fuck this Cheltenham experiment off, it’s truly horrendous and doesn’t work. The majority want Hursty, the chairman does too so can’t see anything...
It’s 100% Paul Hurst coming back, no doubt about it. Him and Doig will be in the dugout for the Northampton game I’m sure. This’ll be the boost the club needs!
