Saw Spunge at Frome Cheese and Grain, pretty decent gig TBF. My favourite track of their's is actually a cover of Bob Marley's No Woman No Cry. Better than the original IMO.

Pretty difficult to discuss "general rock" as there is so much variation under the term "rock", so I think you really need to break it down into sub genres. Although I guess "mainstream" would cover it? Anyhoo............. One "mainstream" band I really like is The Pretty Reckless. They do try...

So many different styles of "punk" out there, which is one reason I enjoy it so much.

Been listening to these guys again recently. Decent stuff from a band that were trying to be a bit different.

Once a punk, always a punk! (at heart anyway!) Couldn't get in to Black Flag back in the day, although I do have one of their albums at home.....I'll give it a whirl sometime.
