Many clubs seem to have a significant increase in hamstring or calf injuries. Is it because players are much more finely tuned athletes or the game is so much more ‘explosive’ these days? I don’t think it is just down to poor training or preparation.
It seems to be an issue across the leagues...
Artell seemed to say the stats suggest that Tranmere should have taken 15 points out of the last 18??? I think I heard this right.
New manager bounce and all that, they seemed to have played well v PV yesterday but can they do it on a cold Tuesday night in Grimsby?
Think we have 4 of the next...
They were poor at Grimsby just over a week ago. Had little threat up front. Maybe they had an off day but with your recent form I can only see a comfortable home win
Handball for our goal? Didn’t see that and there didn’t seem to be any of your players appealing either? Who was supposed to have handled it? Certainly not Rodgers, the scorer!
Could have been a penalty each, in addition to the one given.
Overall we had more shots, more efforts on target, more corners, and more clear opportunities etc.
Nevertheless a point is a point against a typical Michael Flynn team, very direct and physical.
Tranmere at home on Tuesday. The...
How has Conteh performed?
I was told there were two Championship clubs interested in January but injury put any deal on ice. Both could be back in for him in the summer.
Players may well have an eye on the next move, but conversely they know they need to perform or any upwardly move is pie in...
Main stand looked quite sparse from the Upper and there were plenty of spare seats dotted around near me.
Probably 350/400 in all the Osmond, which holds around 1800 in total.
6k looked about right to me
Exactly. When we signed Kamil Conteh on a 3 year deal, his agent insisted on a release clause for around £300k. After a promising 6 months he was on his way. I understand there is further interest in him now and he could move again in the summer. Release clause this time from Brizzle is £600k...
I have always seen this so called rivalry as very odd,and very one sided.
I recall a night game when a Cheltenham fan, dressed in smart suit and tie, spent all the game gazing at the visiting fans and making hand gestures from start to finish. Looked to be in his late 40’s. Very bizarre.
We...
Grimsby with their 4th successive victory. Going under the radar and could yet make the play offs but still outsiders to do so.
Are the top 6 places secured?
Home form very good of late, however with just Rose on his own up top as seems likely, a change in system may be forced upon us. Wilson to make a rare appearance?
Don’t think we would take a thousand to MK. I for one have no interest in attending that place, despite doing around 80% of away games for the last few seasons
Personally I don’t like Donny’s ground one bit!
Soulless, and little or no decent pubs close by.
I much prefer Notts County’s ground for atmosphere and fantastic location in a great city.
Btw, I am pretty certain there are no traces of asbestos at BP. Some slow redevelopment over a move to...
Having watched back the
Having watched back the ‘controversial’ decisions made by the ref at Grimsby yesterday, I don’t think there was that much wrong with any of them!
We all see it differently and mostly see it from our teams point of view but from the ref’s angle I can see why he booked the...
Despite many fans clamouring for Smith I understand he was never on our radar. No interest from GTFC.
There were talks with an unnamed player but evidently that is likely to be materialise in the summer.
Forde or whatever he is called isn’t a target for us.
