I like Jovon, really happy he has already scored three goals in pre season. Maybe he just needs some confidence to prove to himself that he can be a decent Lge One striker? He has all of the attributes to be successful so for me he will partner House for the start of the season unless we get...
Won 1-0 with Makama getting us the only goal of the game within 2 minutes. Both sides virtually changed the XIs at half time. Good workout in 30+ degree heat. Everyone bar 3 of our injured players took some part in the game, still potentially maybe 3-4 more to come in.
Always nice to beat that...
Sounds a bit like us, we used to have more rumours than you could shake a stick at, but it’s a very tight ship generally here now where player names aren’t banded about that often.
Jez and the whole board have been doing a great job and the people at the top have good business sense and work ethic. It’s a far cry to the haphazard way things used to be, under Clive Nates we are a very well run and the club are one of the more stable in our league.
Players not agreeing...
Started off okay for us but after Kennedy got the push, Skubala came in and Smith was then asked to play in numerous positions that really didn’t work out. When he got loaned to Colchester it looked like he would struggle to get back into the squad and with us signing 3 in midfield recently, the...
It’s certainly a left field rumour in some ways, however we do like an unpolished gem that we can see potential with. As for a six figure substantial bid, who knows, as you say he doesn’t score a lot of goals.
Edit, just seen that your local journo Jon Palmer says the bid has been accepted by...
Yes I saw that about Rob Street, poor scoring ratio but looks like he is a ‘project’ kind of potential signing should the significant fee tempt the Robins to sell.
So as rumoured, we have signed Tom Bayliss on a 2 year contract, having recently played for Shrewsbury. So have read mixed reviews form his previous clubs, like all new players, we shall see what he does after a few games in the squad.
It was posted on vitals about £400k with add ons taking it to £500k for the fee so obviously a decent amount for Lasse.

Yep, Jez George said that both unlikely to play for us again.
Sad to see Lasse go, the rumoured £300-400k for a player that can leave for nothing in a year makes sense. This is exactly what the club have evolved into doing when developing players, it’s good to see us making decent money compared to when our better players would leave for peanuts. Hudders...
Lasse has had a great season on the right side of defence but his ability to attack and create have made him a firm fan favourite at SB. To think he wasn’t rated as a CM to now become one of the first names on the sheet. Would be a bit annoying if he went to someone else in our league, he is...
