We haven't had a shot on target for approaching 300 minutes.
That's the latter part of the Grimsby game plus 3 full matches since. Our caretaker Manager (Jim McNulty)must be the only one ever to have taken charge of two games...no shots on target, scored nil and conceded six.
I'm away...
I would have pulled the trigger on Stockdale towards the end of last season. Shame, because he appears to be a really decent and honest bloke, but his signings have really put us in a mess.
We have hardly any time to change the playing staff around, and probably little money available...
it had to come really. He's had a season plus the 5 games this term, and we are (barring 30 minutes against Grimsby, and about the same against a woeful Burton side in the cup) utterly devoid of attacking prowess.
You'll be hard pressed to find many Dale fans with a bad word to say against...
We have really only played well in the first half against you, and we did ok in the second half against a very poor Burton side in the cup. Away from home, we have been absolutely awful, and much though the majority of Dale fans have been understanding towards Stockdale, the rubbish he has...
Been a few times to Hillsborough. Never even seen us score !! Almost a bye to R3 for the Wendies who have always been really friendly at their place, but less so at ours.
Going on the train from Dale is a pain. It should be a doddle, but isn't.
Hey ho. I'm sure they are completely nonplussed...
I was there.
We were better than the last 2 games...but my goodness Burton were poor. Toothless up front, and prone to stupid errors at the back. Surely they will improve on last nights showing?
as for Dale... we did much better, and Odoh rightly given mom for a good shift including a mazy run...
You mean like John Coleman? That went well didn't it?
For the record, I never liked BBM... was full of shit as a player, and hardly ever passed forward, which carried on when he somehow jammily became our Manager. I have more than a feeling that when he was appointed ; he was so cheap that...
I'm not so sure. I think that in the main; the players we now have are not as good as the ones we had 12 months ago. we have sold or let leave some very good L2/L1 level players and replaced them in the main with journeymen or kids.
I like Stockdale as a person...he comes over as totally...
Bit weird how they did that...several confused and one knackered Dale fans before the game.
However... had I known how we were about to play, I'd really not have bothered going in at all. Another pisspoor first half performance, with a team who just don't know how to play together or defend...
Not been impressed with our permanent signings yet, and O'Donnell looks to have no command of his 6 yard area, which is worrying. Hope I'm wrong, but based on the 2 games I've seen him play; he is a step down on last seasons keepers; neither of whom were good enough.
Graham was the best of...
Fairly similar to how I saw the game, and have to echo just how poor we looked for half an hour...completely off the pace. However, Ball did manage to miss two good chances for us just before half time, and then we were better in the second half...but nowhere near good enough.
agree 100%...
Unless I'm mistaken; we've had this before from you Adam?
I'm born & lived in Rochdale all my life, but as well as socialising locally, I visit other towns in the vicinity regularly. Halifax is a belting afternoon or evening out. Loads of new independent bars/craft beer pubs with something...
I'll meet you outside our ground and carry the bugger back. Hasn't performed at all recently, due to injuries and lack of form. we don't want/need any more non scoring forwards after Calvin Andrew and Matt Done.
The game dipped after half time, but worryingly for Dale, Colchester look far better than we have since we sold our two best players again in January.
There seems to be an almost apathetic outlook amongst Dale fans as in "we won't go down... we're too good " etc, but the reality is that we've...
Dale have been a FL side for the past 100 years and (so far) have never dropped out of the top 4 divisions.
Given our geographical position, so close to 3 PL teams, all of whom take a considerable number of the townsfolk away (especially Man U; who seem to have fans in every pub !!) we have...
Was a good game to watch, and both teams can be proud of their efforts. Crikey; Smith is a real handful up front for Rotherham, but Pools looked dangerous themselves for long spells. On another day; Bogle scores and Pools win.
Far more quality on show from both teams than Dale have produced for...
