It's probably because most teams in this division have either not played Birmingham for a good few years or it's a new ground for fans to go to which usually increases away numbers. Plus with the likelihood of Birmingham only being here 1 season people will make sure they go that away game.
There's usually away parking on pack horse lane in burslem off Westport road near where I live. Also one of the people I go vale with who is 60 says they used to sing a song about Walsall something about finding a Walsall fan to punch and kick can't remember exact lyrics. I think vale don't like...
I think he means Saturday 3pm in the league at home. Basically Wimbledon at home October 26th and then Carlisle 21st December are the Saturday 3pm league home games. The other 2 home league games in that period were the Crewe game which was a Monday night and the Walsall game is a 12.30 kick off.
Providing everybody is fit then there's no need really to make any changes to the team for the next test. England don't work that way though and they like to rotate there bowlers so wouldn't be surprised see Potts and stone play. Robinson could come up as wicketkeeper but be harsh to drop pope...
Pope has kept in 3 tests previously and done alright but I'm presuming England will call up a replacement for Cox for the remainder of the series. At least when woakes Atkinson and carse all play it means England bat deep instead of having 3 number 11s in the team.
Vale don't tend to do well in night games or games that are on sky either. We were crap in the recent losses against Barnsley in the cup and Gillingham and weren't much better at Morecambe either but managed get the win there. I think this is our wobble in the season. I will go for a 1 1 draw...
There's a good chance the vale game will be off anyway. Made the mistake of not having the covers on so pitch is covered in snow. Then got 4 days of minus 2 or minus 3 temperatures meaning the snow will turn to ice then rain over the weekend so I'm expecting waterlogged pitch postponement.
3000 were the attendances vale were getting in the 1970s and 1980s then alot more started to come in the late 80s early 90s under John rudge. I think alot of fans stopped going when John rudge got sacked in 1999, also some stopped going due to bill bell selling the best players and not replacing...
We sold 1900 for notts county and there was alot of mither about not being given anymore tickets then notts county caved in and gave us another 300 which sold in about 20 minutes. So we took 2200 to notts county but probably could have took more like 3000. Every Crewe fan that wants go vale on...
Also some vale fans will be able to buy in the home ends as they have done it many times before. Before any Crewe fans says no you won't because you have to be a member or have previous buying history, there must be a few vale fans that have this as there's always 100 or so in that big stands at...
The thing is if Crewe hadn't won on Saturday then the 1200 sold prior to there home game would probably have been what they would have brought. These extras have now decided they want go due to the latest win so sending tickets at this stage is abit late really compared to Walsall selling there...
It's because Crewe have to pay costs for any unsold tickets. Walsall were given 2000 and sold them and we're given another 500 so teams can have the extra allocation if they cough up the money for it. 1800 is more than Crewe have brought to vale for about 25 years so it's probably likely your...
