Harrogate away tomorrow for us. Always difficult to know which Harrogate you're going to get. They seem to be hot going forwards, but shaky at the back.
Hoping for a 3rd win on the trot but I'd happily take a point and then go and beat Chesterfield on BH Monday! :cool1:
Eastleigh at home for us tomorrow.
Pleased with the start so far. We've looked sharp and competitive in every game so our title winning side seem capable of being able to handle the rigours of this division.
Hoping for another 3 points after an excellent performance against Barrow on Tuesday...
Exciting game down at EP last night. A well deserved win for us, but Barrow put us under a awful lot of pressure late on. On the balance of the game though (particularly the first half) we deserved it.
Ref (Rebecca Welch) and the bald linesman were atrocious!! At one point Jackson crossed it...
Short away trip for Manchester based Barrow tomorrow night under the EP lights.
Happy enough with the 2 points on the road at Notts County and Yeovil having been a goal down in both. Positives are we're creating plenty of chances in every game so far, but have thus far not really found our...
Yeovil away for us tomorrow. Managed to beat them 3-1 in the FA Cup last season but that was a completely different team in the midst of a slump. They got a good home win against Eastleigh on Tuesday so will no doubt be favourites.
Our lads will go out and give it their all and hopefully...
Obi Anuruo was one of Jim Gannon's first signings when he returned to EP for his current spell as we were desperately lacking in goals. Anuruo was pretty decent in the NLN and had a good scoring record considering he was used as an impact player most of the time.
Last time we were in this division we signed an unknown striker called Adnan Cirak because he'd scored a few goals in some sort of 5 a side competition in Sweden.
He was absolutely useless, although he did score against Hartlepool!
Jake Cassidy played very well against us on Saturday! Won a lot in the air and held up the ball often by himself.
Seems we played Maidenhead at the wrong time!
Notts County away for us tomorrow. Both teams suffering defeat on the opening day so both teams looking to kick start their respective seasons.
Maidenhead was a very frustrating afternoon. I said after 20 mins or so this had 1-0 to them written all over it and so it turned out to be.
Hopefully...
And so, we kick off tomorrow's National League season at home against Maidenhead United live on BT Sport.
Really don't know what to expect. I know Maidenhead struggled last year but ended up staying up comfortably and seem to have made some decent signings so could in for a more comfortable...
Last pre-season friendly for us this weekend away at Old'n Pathetic.
We were originally supposed to play Macclesfield but Macc couldn't host the game so it was cancelled and we rearranged a friendly with Mansfield. That was also cancelled on police advice because of the Nottingham Pride...
I reckon Ashton United will be a strong challenger next season. They have taken some really solid Conf North players down with them so should certainly be one of the better teams in the Evostik Prem.
South Shields are just a billy big bollox kinda club. their manager was fuming when we knocked...
My apologies Mr Pieman if I caused any offence, there was certainly none intended. I have simply read reports on the game made available at the time. I went on altyfans forum for an alternate view but alas hardly any postings about the game.
I hope Alty have a good season and get back to the...
