Bit of a dilemma for Mr Jolley. Does he go with the same starting XI that played so well at Exeter on Saturday or does he bring Hanson and Green back in?
Just had a quick peek on one of the Chelsea forums re Wednesday's game and the team they hope Chelsea will put out.
Quite a few were including Cho in the team. I thought that they had some Chinese wizzkid in their ranks, until I realised they were talking about Callum Hudson-Odoi. :)
What's the best goal you remember being scored AGAINST your team.
Mine is this one from 2002 by Muzzy Izzett for Leicester City. Caught it sweet as a nut and even most of the Grimsby fans applauded it.
I reckon a few Chelsea players who played in that game will still be having nightmares about James Hanson. Here's hoping that he has as much effect on Wednesday's game as he had back then.
Pretty amazing support from our fans again. To sell over 5000 tickets for a midweek game for an often much-maligned cup competition against what will no doubt be a Chelsea reserve side is quite impressive.
I initially thought we sell about 3000 but have been proved wrong again.
4158 is the number sold as of the end of today. Only on sale to STH's, stub holders from our last 2 games and Mariners Trust members so far.
The remaining 960 go on general sale from tomorrow morning.
3,700 sold by this lunchtime when I picked mine up and they're not even on general sale yet.
I may be made to eat my words saying that I didn't think we'd sell our full allocation.
A couple of 3rd round League Cup ties at Stamford Bridge in the past few seasons, albeit against Bolton and Forest, both attracted gates of over 40,000, so it looks like their fans do turn out for these games.
I'll be surprised at anything over 3000 to be honest with it being a midweek game, even given the ticket prices.
As an aside there is a hotel as part of the Stamford Bridge complex. A twin room is £108 per night but on matchdays the same room is £258, the robbing barstewards.
Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say you were beaten by the better team, yesterday was one of those times.
Crewe are an excellent team, best we've played so far this season. Awful penalty from Hanson, I think Crewe's keeper psyched him out before he took it by saying he knew he...
Well, I'm definitely growing more confident with each game that we might be troubling the right end of the table this season, although it's still early days.
Contrary to a lot of reports we don't just rely of the big hoof up to Hanson all the time, though I admit we do use that method, to a...
Just seen that the last (and only time) time we won at Walsall in the league was 1897!!!
Certainly time to set that record straight.
Following on from our last 45 minutes in the league against Port Vale I'm fairly confident we might finally end that hoodoo.
Town to win 1-0 with a late goal...
