I like that him being disciplined and regimented is being levied as the main criticism now the fans are growing impatient. These were the qualities wanted in the initial appointment. :bg:
I'm not yet ready to ditch 5-3-2. It's the only formation we have the personnel to play. It's an issue of...
I am in no way excusing the performances as they haven't been good enough and ultimately it's the points that matter. That said we've thrown away a couple of leads and yesterday for example we hit the woodwork twice. I'm happy to chill out for another 5-10 games and see what happens.
It's not a...
I am not happy with the striking combinations he is choosing, our attacking approach play, the sloppy errors, the results so far or how low our heads appeared today. However, I disagree that there isn't one promising sign currently. He has tackled issues in the dressing room, has not hesitated...
I am not happy to lose like that at Newport yesterday. Both goals were really soft. The first one is a terrible error from Bowery. If you're in your own box not sure what's around you, kick it out for a throw in or at worst give them a a corner. Definitely don't panic and swing it anywhere in...
Matt Preston first season was excellent on the right side of a back three. Second season he was woeful, he was sent off every other game and his form was horrific. He is very fast and strong and but last season he was a total liability.
Not that bothered about Rose leaving. He's a fans'...
They are amusing. I saw some fans calling Coughlan a flop already. He inherited a team that were overweight, lacking discipline and short of confidence. We are in much better shape now. In time he will be the best manager we have appointed.
Those were really soft goals. We will do better than last season now we are fitter and working harder but this could be boring particularly when we lose.
Ollie Clarke is my favourite midfielder. He is a perfect replacement for Bishop. Charsley was okay against Tranmere and good against Orient. Most games last season I thought Charsley was pretty ineffective. No worse than anyone else but didn't really do much.
I don't believe anyone on an internet forum who says they are 'level-headed' or 'objective'. Better to chat shit and be aware than to have no idea that you're talking bollocks.
A good team would get a third goal and kill the game.
It's a shame that we only have two points to show for all the positives in the first two games. We haven't shown many frills but our shape, fitness and workrate looks much better than last season.
Can't believe how we've just thrown away two points against Orient with two goals late in the match. From our perspective everything looked good then we start timewasting too early and throw away the game. We were in control and should have been more ruthless instead of shooting from the halfway...
Bowery got into some good positions but he missed that free header and messed up that chance when he was away. So agree that he worked hard and was a bit of a presence, but he seemed to lack quality when it mattered.
That was much better than anything I saw last season. Our fitness and standards actually looked reasonable for the first time in a year. Our best player was our new RWB. The weakest link was Bowery in my opinion.
