Games vs. Lincoln are almost always tough, dour affairs which doesn’t really suit us. We desperately need to learn how to break down teams who are mainly looking to defend because it’s been our Achilles’ Heel all season.
Absolutely dismantled Mansfield tonight. Took the second half off and were still miles the better side. Clough has a big job turning things round on that evidence. Perfect walk-in-the-park match for us with a punishing schedule ahead.
Glad we turned down £1,000,000 from Swansea for Ethan...
Confirmed that the EFL have forced us to play our game away at Wrexham on the 18th. Midweek away trip to Wales at 8 days notice. C*nts.
That’s Wrexham, Bolton, Birmingham & Rotherham away in the space of 14 days.
I liked him. Good on the ball and can use both feet. Probably hNever going to crack the top two divisions due to his lack of physical traits, but put him alongside a behemoth and he’ll do a job.
Clattered him? It was the only header Cooper won all game. Not his fault Olafe didn’t jump. ‘Orange card challenge’ was just cynically stopping a breakaway, not dangerous. Standard booking. Olafe’s on the other hand was late, two-footed and scything.
Entirely agreed. Wank decision for their goal but we didn’t deserve anything. We didn’t cope with Stockport’s breaks from midfield in the first half and they prevented us from winning the ball high up the pitch at any point. We’re probably the best side in the division in transition but clueless...
No chance. The sides below you (not counting the three on the same points) are all varying degrees of absolutely abysmal. You’re just going through a rough patch that’s seeing you regress towards the mean of where you probably should be I.e. above the dross and behind some of the more...
Stockport smashed us 3-zip in their last visit to E10, though to be fair they had something to play for whilst our players were all hungover. Massive game which I think will be extremely cagey. Two more injuries versus Exeter puts us right on the cusp of crisis in that department. Down to our...
Just the 8 goals to enjoy tonight and the guy sounded like he was commentating on snooker. And that he hated snooker. And that the snooker was being played by Colin Robinson and Father Purcell (couple of excellent niche references there, if I do say so myself).
Nah. Lovely goal on Saturday and a tap-in tonight, but his all-round play certainly hasn’t stood out as beyond the level. We’ll see how he goes; fitting into Wellens’ system can be a bit of a culture/body shock for some players and he’s only a little lad.
