The tippy-tappy stuff ended with Cooper's departure. Last season was mainly a case of get it wide to a wing back, cross it, and hope one of the forwards will get their head/foot/knee/arse on it. And for the most part it was effective. What the new manager will bring, I don't know.
A38 also gets you fairly close to Cheltenham, FGR and Bristol Rovers. In fact the Mem is almost on the A38.
You could really get to love that road next season.
Straight away?
If one of the purposes of these DoFs is to provide continuity when managers are sacked or jump ship, then perhaps long notice periods are in order.
That's an interesting read. I wonder what the data tells us about the fate of teams promoted to PL/Championship/L2? My guess is the quality/money/resource gap between adjacent leagues grows as you go up the pyramid, but that is only a guess. Plus each league has a different number of promotion...
What a mixed bag of penalties - some worldies, some straight out the U12s.
Vale should be due a stiff fine or something for that sh*t at the end. Way out of order.
Young equalised for us at Valley Parade earlier this season if you remember. It looked like a wonder goal from the away end but on closer inspection of the highlights I think he got two lucky bounces.
Anyhow, he does have potential but needs to get his head up when on the ball and work harder...
Norwood is also ex-FGR. Useful (or was anyway), but has a reputation. Didn't a former Ipswich manager order him to stay away from the club at one stage, before he was let back into the fold?
Perhaps the playoffs is the best route then? That way your players and manager are still focused on football and by the time the playoffs are over (5 June for the National League!) lots of vacancies are already filled.
