I disagree football is a team game, and what is happening this year is a breath of fresh air and a reminder of that. It's not all about having star players with over inflated egos.
No, you can't sell a player who does not want to leave and if they accept and he stays you look stupid and have an unhappy player on your hands.
The club were just doing what palace did, throw in a bid they knew wasn't going to be successful just to get their fans excited.
I doubt Watford turned it down, the only reason a player would go to China or the USA for that matter is money. The player obviously has a bit of ambition and doesn't fancy ending his career just yet.
Not sure what was offered for Deeney but it wasn't 30m.
Well we agree about Ben Arta's character. You have a higher record fee than us, but seeing some of the prices so far that will probably change. We are showing some ambition in regards of trying to keep players - but we tried that before and crashed and burned. Fingers crossed we are not making...
Bruce didn't rate him, I suppose that makes him a tit as well.
I know you've been linked with him as well, which makes sense seeing as you have just sold Mane for 34m and your owners seem to run the club as their own personal cash making machine.
Where are you spending all the money you are...
Love your attitude - ignore the facts - Padrew a tit - top six when he left Newcastle and saved Palace !. Can't say I like the bloke given that I don't know him personally, but the facts don't point to him being a bad manager.
You are telling me things I know, 5 years 13 goals and loads of trouble.
I don't want players who are just coming because we are in the champions league, this year will realistically be a one off, I don't want players coming who think they deserve something they have not earned.
Why did Newcastle get rid, not to mention Hull ? Jesus I know why he is leaving Nice !. I'm not sure Newcastle got anything for him?. He had 5 years in English football and was a flop, PSG suit him the Harlem Globetrotters of European football.
If he was so great why get rid of him ? Do you see any other premier league teams being connected with him ? Mane for 34m or Ben Arfa for free are you saying Klopp can't spot a player ?.
This is all about opinion and yours is as valid as mine, the last thing I want is to get into an argument...
Did you not watch him at Newcastle, he's had a good season in a poor league. I don't doubt that he is skilfull, but he has an ego the size of a continent, exactly the type of player Leicester doesn't need, he will probably turn up for the first match in a tuxedo !.
If he comes I can only hope...
I agree with most of what you have said in both posts, but the tactics you employ are going to be short term, based both on the opposition and on the players available. It's pointless deciding a way to play if you haven't got in form fit players capable of playing it come tournament time. You...
You can't have a long term plan - because players that you start with might be out of form or unfit come the tournament. We need someone that can look at the fit inform players at the end of the season preceding the tournament and build a team out of them.
Who would have questioned Stirling...
Got a feeling Palace knew about Chelsea and slung in a bid to get their fan excited, or perhaps they were being canny and got a kickback for upping the price.
