I agree that he didn't determine the result, aside from the 20 minutes we would have had to defend our two goal lead with ten men, to be fair I thought that MM was clear in that. It was a disappointing perfomance from a fifth season EFL officlal who, as you said, didn't grip the game early.

Can't disagree with any of that and agree that our LB should have received his second yellow, we were just as surprised that he didn't. But I will add that the Referee was very poor throughout for both sides, probably the worst perfomance that I have witnessed in a very long time.

Tranmere haven't confirmed either the attendance or the away number.

I notice that us and a few others have University's as shirt sponsors, how do they fund that? If it's from the student fees or the Government grants, wouldn't that be better spent on the education? Or is it such a minimal amount that it's included in their advertising/media budget?

To be honest, I've never had a problem with any stewards at any of the away grounds that I have been to. In fact, if you talk to them, in a lot of cases they are just as frustrated at some of the local rules that they are employed to enforce. Some of our support have encountered problems, but...

I was at the Gladbach v Bolton pre season friendly in 2009 (not the cartoon version). I was a STH at Gladbach, living and working in Gladbach, for four seasons and attend Borussia Park at least once each season. :cool:
