Didn't think we were good yesterday, lots to work on, we do look a bit too functional with no Barry adding the X Factor.
Be surprised if Crawley don't go down. They did look poor. They did brilliant to go up. For them to lose their manager and almost literally their whole team this season...
Our last few meetings have always been close affairs and a lot of draws thrown in, I can see another close game. Your attacking shape is quite unique and has caused us problems over the last couple of seasons.
We'll need a few in just for numbers as we only have 18 outfield senior players (not including Jack Stretton in that as I'm pretty sure he'll be loaned out somewhere when we get players in) and 4 or 5 of them are injured. The young lad we brought in from Iceland was touted as one for the future...
Could proper kick off this. Wrexham and Mansfield at each other's throats.
They used to both be friends when we dropped points in League Two.
It's like being told your Auntie and Uncle are getting divorced.
They were the best team outside the top three last season and have spent a fortune to improve their side. I would make them the best squad in the league. Majorly underperforming.
I noticed Steve Lindsey got new teeth for his big new job too.
Lewis Fiorini departing on loan to Dundee United. Nowhere near good enough for us really.
Leaves us with a squad of about 20 players with all the loans going back and Fiorini and Sam Hughes being loaned out. I'd expect 3 or 4 in at least.
Bizarre, slapped arse behaviour if we're being honest. I can understand frustration, Bolton should be doing better and Evatt isn't doing a great job but a sense of perspective may be needed.
Wycombe with injuries galore, key players back to parent clubs, manager left them, constant upheavel.
But Mansfield fans are saying they were lucky today?
Classless.
Great stuff by Wycombe. Dumped by the girl next door Matthew "Matty" Bloomfield and responding by splurging on Danish sniff, Tuborgs and shagging some tidy little Danish crumpets on a bender in Copenhagen.
Lincoln looked a hardworking side when we played them. But they were very direct and seemed to play for set pieces. Nothing wrong with that but it does have a ceiling in a league with so many quality footballing sides with big budgets in it.
It was more an example of the general malaise of attendances in the FA Cup and the lack of interest in the competition.
Mansfield fans usually like talking about attendances.
You've probably made Round four a fair few times considering you more often than not enter at the third round stage.
I'd be interested to know how many times Mansfield have made the 4th round in the last 20 years. Just thought they may be a few more there, they're usually quite well supported.
Crowley is a very good player. If it is something like 300k, fair play it is a lot for someone out of contract in the summer but having seen League One close up, 300 grand doesn't get you as much as you'd think these days.
