I mean I'm optimistic as fuck but even I don't see Darlington in 3rd.
I think we could challenge for the play offs based on the second half of last season and if we can add a bit of quality. And what a difference a tactically aware manager makes too.
Brackley 1st? Ooooh controversial but lets...
Darlo will piss it as long as we can keep hold of Steve Watson.
And sign a load of good players.
And by "piss it" I mean hopefully finish top half.
One thing is for sure we will lose 1-0 to the most tedious team in the division, Brackley.
I hope Telford come back up.
I was talking to a few of their fans at our place last season when we won 3-1. In all truth Telford looked a lot better than bottom of the league but as we all know, when you're down there, nothing works for you. Their fans were so despondent.
Anyway I told them...
Well maybe they should stop spaffing big money on players and try spending within their natural means as the former doesn't work. The latter would probably see them exit the other way, though.
Absolutely sick as fuck of them still being here.
82 supporters on a 3.5 hour journey, on a Tuesday night, when we were near bottom of the regional league division 6.
I remember Boston bringing about 30 to Darlo in League 2, same with Kiddy.
We are not the same.
PS Congrats on your promotion, though.
Well there is no escape for Blyth now, losing 4-0 at home to Brackley and Farsley beating Buxton 2-0.
Only Buxton coming back to win 3-2 saves Blyth and fat chance of that happening with Buxton already having their pipe and slippers out.
Nothing against Farsley but my personal preference would be for Blyth to stay up. It is still in their own hands - beat Brackley and they stay up even if Farsley win - because of goal difference.
There is the not so small problem of actually beating Brackley, but this is the magic of football...
10 wins in the last 14 all while Farsley and Blyth were imploding.
At one point they were 16 and 17 points ahead of us.
Under Watson we have won 12 from 21 which is 1.714 PPG or 78.85 Points in a 46 match season.
We've got to be aiming for the play offs next season on the back of the 2nd half...
Cheers.
We had 19 points when Watson took over and were abysmal. Most of us already considered us as down because we couldn't score to save our lives.
It's incredible that we've gone from that to winning 11 and losing 9 of Watson's 20 matches. And with a healthy goal difference too. That's...
To be honest your keeper had no chance with the corner, I was right in line with it.
It was a freak goal helped by the wind. It looked like it was sailing feet over the bar and just seemed to drop suddenly into the net.
Convincing win for Darlo at Warrington today and all things considered we shouldn't be worrying as much as some other teams around us with our form in the last 12 being 8-0-4. We've certainly learned how to win matches in the last 3rd of this season.
But it's not over until it's over, and now...
