Can't get 9k in Blundell Park despite what the official capacity states. Capacity is about 8.5k. Complete league sell outs seem to range from 7.7k to 8k actual attendance. Cup we've had 8.4k
I thought 2.5k in your end and maybe 3.5 max down the sides. A thousand STHs not turning for an early...
Oh what fun we had in those days with the banter between the big BELTs - us, Stocky, Notts, Wrexham and Chesterfield, and not forgetting Southend, with BTTF and that other Halifax fan as an entertaining sideshow, and the occasional visits from Lance Stoe…
We had a 3 year long conspiracy against us in the NL culminating in the Bristol Rovers keeper attempting to chop Lenny John Lewis into 2 halves and staying on the pitch...
I'd start with the Pontoon end and corners at that end. Rebuild it cantilever with filled in corners round to the Main and Findus. There is little room behind but you could get some concourse F and B in underneath. Capacity maybe 3.5k, I would have a couple of blocks of safe standing in there...
Notts and Bradford the best away days in League 2. Best stadium in the East Mids is Leicester Tigers. Stadium bars encircle almost the entire perimeter. 4k capacity terrace all down one side to stand and watch with your pint. Station 10 mins walk and loads of pubs nearby.
Simple answer - no. Nowhere near. Previous owner Fenty left Blundell Park as an albatross around the current owners neck. Capacity is too small, and repairs / refurbs have already soaked up all of our FA Cup QF run windfall and more to costs to come - the pitch is in a right state, more roof...
We'll see if DA sticks to the fans favourite 3-5-2 or reverts to DA plan A 4-3-3 with an 8-1 goal spread from the last 2 games with that.
2,869 of us coming apparently- back to typical level after the final Hurst game low of 2,300 on our last visit.
