looking back at that Hurst chance, his first touch to take it past Godwin-Malife was unreal. Feel pretty bad for him he couldn't put it away, would have been an all time great goal
Positive that Tranmere were unable to really create anything against our XI men, but looking back at their recent results they haven't been scoring against anyone really so maybe not that great. Would prefer more possession at home but when you're 2-0 at half time when things are equal it...
at one end of the spectrum you've got Vale and Bradford's owners voting to end last season early to their own detriment.
at the other you've got masi51 saying that.
those Grimsby kits look p smart tbh. think the Barrow home is fine, just a shame about the sponsor.
so much of a kit's look is the sponsor, no coincidence that Vale's best kits of the last few years have all had GMB on the front.
never seen Vale this fancied by oppo fans, well unsettling. It's hard to know how representative our good run before lockdown was of our actual quality, but before then we were 10th for about 3 months for a reason. Pope's another year past his prime, Cullen will still probably struggle for...
I guess the logic is that we're trying to use the results of the completed games to give a fair reflection of the table so using previous results in the calculations only makes sense, or else it's just pure extrapolation which doesn't take into account the nuances of played and remaining games...
So for the clubs at the top their efforts get rewarded, but at the bottom nothing? Bit lopsided that.
Also weighted PPG is a very blunt tool to resolve things. Do they not have access to data analysts to come up with a fair and more accurate algorithm? Or even just taking into consideration...
just seen this:

Vale's is accurate, idk about the rest
gotta chuck the 5-0 at Chesterfield in March 2010 in there. Hadn't won at Saltergate in years and was our last game there. Some great goals as well including a Marc Richards hattrick (only Vale's second since 1996 I think)
