Should do well at this level given his experience. He's getting on a bit, but if he has kept himself fit it shouldn't matter. We had Gareth Roberts at LB last season and despite being 37 was clearly one of the fittest players on the pitch!

I can't admit to knowing a huge amount about Josh Amis but speaking to a friend of mine who knows a lot more than I do, he's a hard working forward, quite a big stocky lad with an eye for goal. So that sounds promising at least......

Players from Ireland always seem to do well in the UK. Can think of loads who have come over and done brilliantly. Last couple we had were Gary Dicker and Leon McSweeney and they were both cracking players.

I'm afraid your memory escapes you a little. In the first 20 mins we had about 8 attempts at goal with perhaps 3 or 4 on target. Then you guys took the lead, we just wilted and you eased to a 3-0 home win.

We're complete the opposite. We've got 2 keepers, 6 defenders, 4 midfielders but only 1 striker signed up at the mo! People getting twitchy that we haven't got a 20+ a season goalscorer in the squad yet, given our trouble scoring goals last season.

Darren Stephenson is ace. He's Chorley's main attacking player and will be a big loss to them if you do sign him. Hope the deal goes through! :2thumb:
