I think the owners have probably been tipped off to the fact that they’ve got sell-on clauses for Jarrad Branthwaite and Dean Henderson, because I can’t see any other reason for the investment.
I think he was only ever meant to be a back-up, and Wild also said that he wasn’t in the market for a striker when he signed Telford so that probably didn’t help him either. I said in the summer that he’d be on loan in the Conference North before the end of the season.
Let’s be honest, being without Procter and Duffus is to our advantage. Can see both being pushed towards the exit in January (though unlikely to get any takers).
I wasn’t impressed at all with Accrington in the reverse fixture, and I fully expect them to come here and defend, with Whalley and knobhead McConville chucking themselves down for 90 mins. Won’t be a classic.
Scratch that, I fully expect this one to be postponed cos our pitch is knackered.
I’m not sure that’s correct as you still need to have two players to be goal side of you.
This was the penalty not given, where Chester just needed to tap that in at the far post.
A good game, and felt like a fair result - as the Stockport fans say there were question marks about our first, we were denied a blatant penalty at 2-0 and strange decision to rule out the winner when Horsfall was down for ages before the ref decided to blow up. Haven’t seen any replays though...
League Two’s biggest game of the season, so it will be a massive test and an atmosphere we haven’t seen the likes of since that famous win over Tranmere in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round all those years ago.
Even if we scrape a 0-0 draw, I hope Pedro Wild fist pumps like we’ve won the FA Cup...
He’s already said he can’t be bothered travelling to the arse-end of the country (Cumbria) every day for training. He’s happy with the Manchester Bluebirds.
None of them are worth listening to. It’s just funny to see it every single time, because some people struggle to accept they were beaten by such a tinpot bunch of hoofball merchants. We’re used to it.
Didn’t see the game but it seems we were shite and the worst team that Crewe have played all season (according to Twitter, obviously). Don’t think we’ve deserved a win all season.
Biggest surprise of the season so far:
Morecambe not being in the relegation zone given they had about 4 players at the start of August.
Biggest disappointment of the season so far
I think I had Bradford and Swindon to be up near the top.
Best side you’ve faced
Stockport had an easy afternoon...
Morecambe’s chairman did some racism at our place and has admitted it, but because the victim (Emile Acquah) hasn’t pursued any further action he’s just been told to be a bit quieter with his racism next time. Or something...
